Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Based on the measurements, anything less than a 75 inch looks weird in the space where the TV goes.
I wanted to get a projector screen, but wife said "nope".Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I came to terms with the latter. I am coming from a 65 inch that was pretty good, but wanted bigger for the space. Wanted to go higher on the spend and quality, but had to divvy up the budget between the theatre room and backyard.

Should have opted for short throw projector with a motorized screen

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Are you guys using it as a work monitor and gaming or just gaming? I'm debating what I would get for a PS5, but.....right now my work monitor is my gaming monitor (viewing angle and what not on primary TV is not conducive for gaming).Comment

So I don't really do any work on my PC (it is a gaming pc), but I use it for general browsing+gaming. I 100% recommend the LG 48" OLED for a monitor/gaming monitor.PSN-Shugarooo

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
i’m going to use it as my monitor replacement, I’m not on my computer heavy like that, days I work from home I use my current monitor for 9 hours day. This is not offered though.
I’m going to be using it as my new monitor and for my PS4 Pro, and of course with my PS5 when I get it.
I’m still yet to set mine up yet, just got it today. I know it got a big update today that included Freesync Premium in the update which is nice.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Yeah, so I have a current setup with a 32" curved as my primary and 2 side 24"s. I definitely need multiple monitors and/or 1 very large monitor that can hold 3 windows well. The issue will be eye strain and I guess possible burn-in (although hiding the toolbar and using a black background is easy enough).
I'm just concerned sitting roughly 2' away or so would be too much. Then the issue becomes finding a suitable 32" or so monitor/TV that will be future-ready, VRR, solid HDR, 4k, etc.
Any pics of the LG in an actual office setup someone is using?Comment

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
Starting to look for a new TV. Really like the LG OLED 65" (C9 or BX/CX), but I'm a little concerned because the room it will be going in is bright with multiple windows. Currently, we have a 60" Samsung Plasma. Still like the picture, but it has a ton of glare and tends to get washed out during the day. It will be for everyday use. Mostly tv/netflix and gaming. Looking for any similar experiences you guys may have with the OLED TVs and suggestions. I would like to to stay around $2400.

Re: LCD or OLED? - The TV Thread
I want to get a 4k led. I'm not super particular about tvs. But I'll ask for some suggestions. Mostly just play sports games.
I'm thinking about just getting a 55 in hisense. Probably gonna stay in a 400 dollar range.
