Wife has said the magic words... 'our tv seems a little small now'

Need the 85" q90b to drop to like $2k, please. Thanks.

Don’t think it’ll drop that much but could go to $3k or maybe $2800 in March when new models release.

Once you go 85 inches or bigger, it is hard to go back to smaller sizes.

Yeah, I really wanted to go short-throw projector, but decided I better not open that can of worms.

I'll probably either impulsively put it on credit / payments, or hold out for an insider program offer.

End of February is bonus time, that'll burn a hole in my pocket for sure.

              qn90b sub $2k via Samsung and AAA/EPP/EDU.

Scott would you recommend anything over that in that price range at 85"?

Still working on the wife since it's bonus season, but pretty close to pulling the trigger and finally putting the living room together properly. Need to mount my height speakers and get a new console for the components. My 65" is mounted too high because of a tall piece of furniture we were using for the components.

                Nothing else will beat that

LG C2 77" is 2,249 on lg.com via the same type of partner discounts if you were considering an OLED.

Got wife's blessing and pulled the trigger. Getting like $170 back between Rakuten and Paypal Rewards as well.

                    Here is where I am:

Samsung Neo QLED QN8592BAFXZC or LG OLED83C1AUA

I currently have a Samsung. My tv is in the basement in my den. There is no direct sunlight. My current 82 Samsung will become my secondary tv and it will be to the left of whatever tv I choose beside it. I will be gaming on it with my Xbox Series X and PS5.

I am really interest in what you gentlemen think. Please fire away.

                    Thanks in advance.

If you can still get the C1, do it and don’t look back.

I struck out on the LG OLED, so i went with the Samsung 8K instead. I was looking at the 4K but I'm planning on not buying a new tv for a while after this one, so I doing a little future proofing.

If it's still on the way return it. You didn't do any future proofing. You paid more to have an all around inferior TV. 8K won't matter for another half decade at best, and even then you have an above average TV to start. You can have a great flagship Samsung 4K for $500 less. Get a Samsung QN90B if you couldn't find a C1 or C2.

If that’s what you want to do, I embrace your decision. However when 4K TVs first came out, people said the same thing. There was no HDR, HDR+, Dolby Vision, HLG, HGiG, VRR. Samsung also said they would do something called an evolution kit or upgrade kit and they failed to deliver on that.

I think the upgrade did exist but it wasn't worth the cost and was limited to a very small number of models. Also didn't add much.

I definitely wouldn't buy a 8k tv yet. We barely get any live TV in 4k and the streaming stuff isn't even fully available yet.
