Anecdotal, no doubt, but it's from people I know and people I've seen online. Just a lot of people hooked on the show who had never heard of the game before, or are straight non-gamers. People who previous to this were obsessed with Wednesday, whatever popular new thing, etc.

And from people who are constantly playing or talking about games I've heard mostly mild interest to disinterest. Not being against it, but just not caring.

I think the show is popular because it’s amazing. Up there with the best stuff I’ve seen in years. I don’t post on gaming sites besides here so I’m not the best to judge how the gaming population has reacted to it, but everyone I know in real life who played the game has been counting down to the day the show came out. Most of my friends who are watching didn’t play the game though

Lol them folks never answer when they get asked that specifically. I’m almost certain I know what his issues are but I’m curious to hear him explain.

If anyone else called a show “trash”, then of course people are going to question because they want to hear your opinion as to why you think that.

I’m curious to know how they’ll approach Season 2, because Part 2 of the game was crazy violent compared to part 1 and how much of it will include the WLF.

          Same.

I’m guessing we’ll see a ton with the WLF and that they will really flesh out the seraphins too. The choices they made in how they handled David and his group in last nights episode tells me they are just itching to really dive into a false prophet and a cult lol

I am watching the series "Waco" again on Showtime On Demand.

I'm very impressed with it, maybe more so this time through.

It's always been a year I'm 55% sure. I only watch it on Netflix so I've always had to wait.

AMC has always been awful with getting shows out it seems like.

I am really liking Daisy Jones and the Six on Prime!
Love a good rock story and having it set in the late 60’s and throughout the 70’s makes it even better!
But I also LOVED CBGB ( also on Prime )

DJ&6 are fictional, but the bands that played the CBGB are real. Talking Heads, Ramones etc. actually there is one band that is fictional as well, but it worked for the story

I watched this and Marlon Wayans special on HBO. Marlon entire theme of his entire set was about Chris Rock and the Smiths. Like the entire hour.

Yep this is happening to whatever is getting marketed as the best show ever. I watched Wednesday and while it wasn't terrible it wasn't something that was the greatest show of the year. It was basically a CW show. There are plenty of better written and interesting stories coming up on Netflix or others.

I liked it for what it was tbh. Not into TLOU. Might be a great show, never played the games, not my thing.

I watched the Bill Russell documentary on Netflix, which was very well done. It's rather surreal to see basketball played 50's and 60's style, with a rather crudeness to it, but also as skilled as today's game.

Russell was such an interesting individual and I am more than convinced that he would have been an iconic star in today's game as well as his game was built on guile and grit...to go with a 6-10 body.

You like it or you don't. One episode of Wednesday was it for me. The popularity of a show has nothing to do with how I feel about it or how long I'll stay onboard. Having said that the reviews of a movie or show can get my foot in the door. That's the reason I give Succession a fairly lengthy tryout but was ultimately disappointed.

Your CW show might be someone else's Breaking Bad. (and some people thought BB was overrated).

I think that without Jenna Ortega, her chemistry with Emma Myers, and/or the Addams Family lore (plus the inclusion of Christina Ricci's), everybody would agree that it merely meets CW standards with some blood here and there.

But I liked the show. Mostly because Jenna Ortega.

Yep. He played one of the greatest athletes of all time who was quite a bit taller than him dead even maybe even better. Those great players from the 60's and 70's would be great today. Could some of the stars from today play when defense was a thing? Some of them would be crying like a biatch.
