Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
Spoiler
I think it could have been better if season focused on the struggle the manager, the people betting/running the game had to keep the game moving. If you have the same type of personalities in each game, the outcome will always be the same and it would get boring. Show them betting on which person would play each role. Show them trying to counteract the actions to stop the game, etc.
Once the game started, until the failed attack, it was just a repeat. That could have been 1 episode. We didn't need to see back stories on everyone to know that people wouldn't make the decision to leave. We got filler to just show that he had no impact on the game, it proceeds on and he couldn't get people to stop playing. Showing that side as planned would build the manager up more as a villain. Instead we just see people try to flee after the 1st person is shot, someone making people move, the fights when forks are given out, etc.
I get the point the director is making but showing the other side planning it all would be more impactful.
You also have the organ harvesting that is thrown in with no real relevance other than they did it in the previous game. Is that going to come back in season 3 or was that whole side story just a filler to stretch season 2 so season 3 wouldn't be just 2-3 episodes?

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
Watching WWE on Netflix, it's not the first live event on Netflix, and is no Paul-Tyson, but I think they/Netflix are showing that live events could work.
No issues with the stream, it's so easy to watch/go back or skip ahead if you're watching on delay, and the video quality is better than what these tv networks have (most don't show in true 1080p, and Netflix looks to be true 1080p, maybe 4k possible too?)
NFL already had stuff on Netflix, but I could see Netflix really pushing hard for a future tv deal once they show these leagues how they handle weekly wwe live shows.
I still hate the streaming stuff and paying extra for things and different services having different things, but they have done a good job with what they've been given so far. Even Amazon with NHL has been better/different than the TV coverage.Comment

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
Completed the first season of Severance and loved it. Such an interesting premise and has the promise to be a strong show for a few seasons, a lot of story left to be told.
On a side note, I could just watch the scenes of Britt Lower walking the halls over and over. Watch a stunningly elegant walking gait (can't ever remember admiring a walking gait before).Comment

For me, the worst thing about live events on streaming platforms is not being able to turn the channel. I’ve had zero issues with buffering or stream quality but it sucks to not be able to flick around when the event goes to break.

Re: What's good to watch on Netflix And Other Streaming Platforms
For me, I'll just exit out of the app and go straight to a channel I want. Which is why I mentioned the resume watching aspect (or just jump back live). I didn't think it'd be there for a live broadcast but it was. And surprisingly entering/exiting the app has been much faster than I thought it would be.
Disney plus for instance takes a few seconds to load each time you enter it, but Netflix seems almost instant, at least through my tv app and even the app on my cable boxComment

Don't Die, the man who wants to live forever, what a nutjob. There's nothing wrong with exercising and eating healty but I draw the line at taking blood transfusions from my son. He definitely won't even live to see the next century and I doubt many or any of us reading this thread will.T-BONE.
