Tried to watch this and I just didn't care for it. About 2/3 in I decided I had enough. Different strokes for different folks. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Those were my exact feeling walking out of the theater when it came out.
It being PG 13 also hurt a lot of the fighting scenes that happened.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I liked it better the second time too. I wasn't as hyped up for it this time, it was just another I enjoyed in the theaters and was happy to see again on Blu-ray. I knew this time what was in the movie and what was left out so I could just enjoy the movie, which I did a lot. Can't wait for Catching Fire.

I'm kind of the same way, though I did like it a lot my first time too. The 2nd time there wasn't the hype and I could just watch and enjoy. Good movie either way, but I know several other people who enjoyed it more the 2nd time around.I liked it better the second time too. Re: The Hunger Games (movie) - March 23rd
I got to check this out tonight. I loved it. The story was pretty interesting, and the actual Hunger Game sequences are gripping. Jennifer Lawrence does a fine job in the lead role, and the supporting cast are pretty good too (Woody Harrleson in particular). It was a bit too tame for a fight to the death type movie, the love aspect feels forced, and a few characters were useless (Elizabeth Banks). I agree with some critics who said that the movie kind of ended abruptly. Way too much happens in the film's third act and could of benefited from not having a furious pace. I really enjoyed it and I'm anticipating the sequel next November.Comment

Re: The Hunger Games (movie) - March 23rd
Got the Blu-Ray and watched it for a second time this weekend (this time after reading the books). I picked up on a number of things after reading the books that I never would have noticed before. They skipped a few things in the end that were in the book. I suppose I'll spoiler this for anyone who hasn't seen it:
SpoilerPeeta's leg. It was amputated and he got a prosthetic leg which Katniss finds out about in their interview with Ceasar after they won the games. They skipped that in the movie.
Watching the second time reminded me how much I disliked Thresh dying. It wasn't on screen and was sudden for a guy so powerful. Maybe it's because the book made him seem to be an all powerful type (along with Cato). Cato's death scene was also much tamer in the movie
