I learned to like it but im sorry man the thing is not ready IMO. It doesnt take alot of different drivers right now so I couldnt get any wireless usb's to work so I could have internet. Not just that though, there are tons of drivers and crash issues with it as well as just either loving or hating the interfave altogether.

I have my disc but will not install it again until they fix those freaking major issues.

Tell me, is the 7790 or the 7850 a big upgrade over the 7770 to justify a purchase.

      (clears throat)

      Can anybody answer this??

No neither in my opinion. I'd wait for the 680 or 670 to come down in price. They will stomp both those cards and you will get more life out the card so the added cost will make up the extra years you get out of it.

Ok another cpu building noob question. When I finally get my motherboard back and my cpu starts running I do have to use the CD's that come with my Motherboard, graphics card and CD drive right? I just want to be sure.

You'll probably need to use the MOBO CD for internet drivers. From that point grab every driver from the product website so that you're up to date.

All of them are expensive as all outdoors, and since i have an AMD processor and GC I was going to keep it in the family

I have like a $70 gift card for Frys so it was going to be used to upgrade that card.

Oh lord, the 690 is above 1k?

I suck at using sites for drivers. Lol.

You could keep it in the family.

I believe a 7950 and 7970 would match up to the 670 and 680. Still would be expensive as hell.

You just find your product and download the .zip or .exe they have.

That would essentially cost me about 230 from frys to get a 7950

That's more reasonable than paying 500+ or even 1250 for the latest and greatest.

Ares series is good if you using multiple high end displays at high resolutions. Ares, Titan, and Dual GPU cards in general was designed for that purpose. Now it would be crazy and dumb as hell to use a dual gpu card or Titan just to play at 1920 x 1080 resolution, those cards weren't designed for that.
