My motherboard was shipped this morning and I received it this evening. Never had that happen before.

Can someone please try to help me? I'm sick of this console gaming, PC gaming looks much better.
I second this...I'm so over console limitations!

                I just use Core Temp.

I have PrecisionX for my graphics card controlling, but you have AMD so you can't use that one.

Whats a good temp and the max you can go? Also I been noticing that random words on OS are highlighted like links when they aren't actually links. How do I get rid of that?

                  Nevermind, it was stupid extension.

40-70 (70 being under load) are normal ranges. 80 you need to fix something and 90 you need to turn the machine off.

My CPU normally idles in the low to mid 30s, and under stress gaming or folding it goes from around 65-72ish.

Measured CPU idle temperatures are completely untrustworthy because of the way the CPU measures those temperatures, they are unreliable and you shouldn't worry about them.

Only concern yourself with max temp under load, which is to say use a program to put 100% load on the processor until the temps stop climbing.

Ivy Bridge shutdown temp is 105C, throttle temp is 98C, target max should be around 90C but lower is better for chip longevity. Those are individual core temps.

Unless you overclock or you didn't install the heat sink and thermal paste correctly you shouldn't have to worry about it for a while.

Newegg is having a nice sale on HDDs and SSDs until the 29th. You have to be subscribed to the "e-blast" newsletter I think but if you're in the market, there are some really good deals on Samsung SSDs, $79 for a 120GB, $147 for a 250GB or $169 for a 4TB Seagate HDD. Check it out, I imagine a lot will get sold out quickly.
                            PS: You guys are great.

Yeah, I missed out on the $79 SSD. Damn test this morning. Hopefully something like this sale comes up again soon.
