    6100 vs 8320

    7770 vs 7850

IMO, sure. The GPU moreso than the CPU though if it's gains in the gaming department that you're specifically looking for.

Nah I'm not saying that. They are both worth it. Typically you're going to see bigger gains from upgrading the GPU when it comes to gaming performance was all I was saying. What I'd do though is get the 6300 instead. You'd get get similar gaming performance for about $40 cheaper.

Thats actually what I plan on doing.. Im just going to get this GPU out of the way first. I had to get in some reading first to see what I was getting myself into. I think im a tier below where I want to be.... so these should do it at least til the new cards come out, and once affordable I'll probably go to an i5 to compliment whatever it is.

finally got around to upgrading my gpu, Going from a SAPPHIRE TOXIC Radeon HD 4870 1GB to a Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB. Almost went ahead and got the gtx 680 but couldn't push myself to pay those prices so settled for the 7970. I should have it tomorrow so I'll post some impressions when I get a chance.

so I bought a new video card a 670 to replace my 6950 and then I decided that my new card looks all nice and shiny but not the rest of my components... so I basically bought a new pc last night. expecting parts this friday.

Yeah turns out my CPU has a heating problem. I'm probably going to have to invest in a bigger fan for the side panel. I can still use it though however I have to crack the side panel open first while I'm online then shut it back up while not in use.

None of those options work (not just the F12)? Did you uninstall/remove the drivers before installing it? Also, what power supply do you have?
