What is the difference between the FX 8320 and FX 8350? Is the 8350 worth the $30 more?Fan of....

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
Replacement motherboard came in. It's all hooked up (I also switched cases and *sigh*heatsinks to the H60 due to the case downsize) and running after I derped. My old case didn't need power cables for the HDDs because they were built in to the bay (just run a data cable from the bays to the mobo and you were set, quick swappable drive bay.)
Took me forever to find the power cords I needed. Just reinstalled Windows on my SSD after a wipe of both that and my HDD - though after I took the Windows disc out, my blu-ray drive doesn't want to cooperate with me and won't show up on my devices anymore so I can't install the drivers I need for now.
I'll bash it with a wrench some more after my 2TB HDD is done formatting.badComment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
I'm still up in the air about what gpu to get, Im thinking about going with the AMD 7990 for it's 4K capabilities to go with the new Asus 4K monitor that's coming out soon, unless NVIDIA comes out with a card that can run 4K under maximum settings by the time I get ready to purchase this stuff. And I will probably get an Haswell cpu since the AMD cpu is basically a budget mid grade cpu.
If they do support it just running 4K off of a CPU would render it useless anyways.
I thought you said you weren't building until 2014 anyways.Comment

I would do research now, but I'd take it with a grain of salt. Tech gets way better over 6 months to a year.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Official "I want to build a New PC!" Thread
By the time 4K becomes supported enough to be relevant then it will be time for an upgrade anyways IMO. I don't see why you would want 4K on such a small screen, but that is a debate for a different thread. Then again you have 6 months so things will change.Comment

I took the 660 Ti FTW Sig 2 to the UPS Store on Saturday and will be on its way back to Amazon for a refund. I pulled the trigger on the EVGA 770 ACX from Newegg, which should be here on Thursday.Comment

My adage is - get the best of what you can afford NOW. My PC is running just about everything on ultra after building it in 2011 but I'm definitely looking at upgrading my GTX 460 SE in the near future.Comment

Really cool trailer from AMD on their A10 APU. I haven't owned an AMD CPU based machine in 10 years. Depending on how things shake out with next gen consoles and how games are developed with AMD in mind, building an AMD machine might not be a bad idea in 2 years once we know where next gen games are heading (as long as they can get out of their bad financial situation).
