I think this show is in the 8 PM slot mainly because they're trying to capture the younger audience but the violence and gore etc etc is also there to appeal to the older folks. Honestly, the best timeslot for this show should be 9 PM but Sleepy Hollow is on at that time.

I like how it leads into Sleepy Hollow, it's a pretty good pairing imo. Then after that I can flip over to The Blacklist. Monday is loaded right now

They just mentioned Venom in that last scene. That's the drug that Bane uses. Bane just got his 1st reference in this show.

The first part of the episode seemed really cheesy to me but as it went along it got better. I'm glad to see that Alfred is now moving closer towards the Alfred we know except maybe a little rougher around the edges. The episode has the feel of one of those eps that sets up plot points for the rest of the season and series.

A couple great scenes in this one with Cobblepot and Moroni as well. The Moroni character while broad, is growing on me.

It's very cool but my complaint is that they're bringing up WAY too much stuff either that's going to show up on screen or being mentioned. I've already heard rumors that just leads to complications down the line:

I heard that Bane is going to make an appearance for the last episode of this season. Its just a rumor at this point. I love the character development in this show. Oswald is a real jerk in this show. Much like he was in "Batman Returns". Not so much Jim Gordon this week though. I did love the scenes with Fish. She's so sexy. She dresses so nice too. Muy caliente.

I think they're going to pull a Smallville and not show Batman until the last episode of the series. So far, we have seen Bruce show signs of his development into the Caped Crusader. I guess they're going to do a very slow "Batman Begins" and let him slowly grow into the Dark Knight.

Which is fine and expected it just idk I doubt the longevity of this as even then in Smallville while he wasn't Superman he was still a super Clark Kent going up against all kind of villains.

Smallville is still better than this series. Better villians, but this series has a far better story to it though.

I am loving this show so far. And to be honest, I prefer it without Catwoman. I'm not too familiar with the comics, so maybe she is portrayed accurately, but I feel like she adds nothing to the show besides her bit of information about the Wayne killer.

This is my big hang up with the show. Whatever happens with Gordon he has to lose and be lost or else Batman isn't warranted.

I don't necessarily think Gordon has to "lose" but being lost in the weeds of corruption should very definitely be the end goal for the character. Gordon doesn't have to be at the end of his rope but he's going to have to be commissioner for a short time (no more than a year or two) who is struggling mightily against the stench of corruption with a handful of "good" cops on his side.

It really depends how this show handles the escalation. Right now its basically just the mob, but you have these super villains being thrown in there at the start of their aspirations.
