There were some tells of this by what he stated to the other vinci cop (the fat guy lol) about a bankteller being a "fag" and he was very nervous around the homosexual male hooker that got him into that club.
I wonder if he was either raped (not by a gay guy necessarily, but by someone or a group of guys in the military and he just equates the gay men to that activity) or abused as a child (this kind of goes into the weird mom angle).

I also think that though the viagra thing seems like it's a new deal, I honestly think he's always had trouble getting it up. And if that's the case, he has childhood trauma somewhere.

Didn't you guys catch the reference when the gay guy said he had sex with women and he replied "you? You have sex with women??" And the gay guy said "well yeah with medicinal aids"

I believe that was as clear cut as it can be as it directly referenced him having to take drugs to get it going with a female like we saw back in episode one...

        Excellent catch.

Not out of the realm of Nic Pizzaloto's dialogue writing either. He enjoys hitting the nail on the head through another character.

Thinking about it some more, having Velcoro say the e-cig reminded him of a robot's dick and then later on in the series having Woodrush display his disgust with e-cigs, is probably another subtle jab at Woodrush's homophobia.

So Woodrush's repression of his homosexuality is the cause of his homophobia?

What was the look he gave Frank (VV) when he bumped into him at the club? Just the recognition of a subject in the criminal case, or was it attraction? By the way Vaughn looks 6'8" sometimes.

Maybe? I'm not sure. Just thinking aloud.

            I don't think he's gay though.

Pretty interesting read on the corrupt, fictional city of Vinci, and it's parallels with some not so fictional cities:

I think Kitsch has been pretty damn great.

The only actor I really wasn't feeling was VV, and then episode 3 happened. By far his best episode yet.

I think it was simply sizing up someone who bumps into you at the club. Def foreshadowing though as one (if not both) will recognize each other somewhere down the line.

Also, I don't know if that's 100% a gay club. It looks like an "anything goes" type of club. Everything and anything on the menu.

yeah, Vince's solidified my confidence after episode 2. Honestly i think all the leads are doing good jobs. Loving this season so far.

I like this season so far, but McConaughey blows this entire cast out of the water. Still very good acting and characters. I'm not exactly sure where they're going with the story yet.

I get a Twin Peaks vibe whenever theyre at that bar.

While not MM level, Ferrell is doing well, probably his best best roll yet.

Vince Vaughn has been awful. The opening monologue in E2 actually made me uncomfortable and I felt bad for him. It's cool that he tried to test himself but this water might be too deep.

The rest of the cast has been solid and the story seems to finally be going somewhere. I'm in for the rest of it.

I think VV has done a great job as well, and shown the greatest progression of all the 4 main actors. I also think he had the biggest challenge in taking this role considering his usual roles.

I can see how you wouldn't be able to get over his usual shtick, though.

I actually like that they made him like a "good" bad guy at first, and now he's slipping into the typical bad guy stereotype, reluctantly.
