Totally didn't expect that. But it looks like McCleish (sp?)was more of a pawn? Obviously they wanted him to be President, but this thing goes a lot higher than him. I think we will now see who is at the top of this conspiracy.

It's probably the original president.

Yeah, every scene with her I keep waiting for the sideways glance or that one tip that she's in on it.



When she was being kept in the dark I kept expecting them to do something hamfisted like have her say a little bit more than she was told or something.



If it's not her or Aaron, props for the misdirection. Anyone else and it'd be pretty absurd though.

With her they overdid it in the scene where the President tried to tell the secret service that anything they could say to him they could say to her.

Love how they're not afraid to go for it and not just be obvious.

The deaths caught me offguard, figured they'd drag all that out a while.

I'm very interested to see who else could be involved then.

I thought Reed Diamond (FBI Guy, forget character's name) seemed bad, but maybe not? Still not sold on him.

At this point it's almost like they are trying too hard to make the First Lady the obvious person.

Almost to the degree I'm starting to doubt myself as her being the perpetrator, I'm wondering if they are trying to divert attention from elsewhere.

They did the same to McLeish...then his wife seemed crazier (and was crazier)...and now they're gone. The first lady isn't being completely crazy, so not thinking she's the person, but not sure who the bad guys are.

I was starting to like Kimball but now i'm not so sure.

Not sure what to think about a former president chilling in the situation room, but overall kinda liked the episode. Less conspiracy shenanigans and more government building.

I like the former president who appeared to be undermining Keifer, but turned out to be a straight shooter (barring a twist). Good addition as Secretary Of State.

This kind of felt like 2 different shows shoved into the same hour. They need something to tie the conspiracy back around to the administration again, getting too disconnected.

I am really liking it.

Maybe it's the nostalgia of Kiefer but with every week it has the feeling of 24, just from the spectrum of the President rather than the other way around.

This kind of felt like 2 different shows shoved into the same hour. They need something to tie the conspiracy back around to the administration again, getting too disconnected.

Well I was about to say I feel like every episode has a completely different writer. It doesn't seem very consistent in tone, as sometimes I'm seeing a balls out thriller like 24 and other times it's a straight up political drama.

Though I think part of me likes that as well. Lets things be unexpected and sneak up on me (didn't really see the end coming lol but nobody did as it was completely out of left field), and I never thought I'd see a show where you got to watch Kiefer just answer the people's questions for an entire segment. Kind of nice pace for a show on air that you don't see very often. Every other show out there has to whip things around so quickly. This show did as well early on, but I think it's catching its footing.

Don't know what's in store next week since I don't watch the previews, but this is a show that I definitely look forward to week in and week out.

I like it too. Kiefer gives a great understated performance as an out of the blue president, but his character doesn't have a lot of flaws.

Best directed episode of the season so far, IMO. I'd like to see Listo direct more of them.

One thing confused me about the ep. They seemed to make a big deal about keeping Tom out of the loop of Alex talking to Bowman, yet at the end it is clear as day that he had been informed on the matter. I wonder what the relevance of the earlier scene was where Emily and Seth tried to keep it under wraps? I was kind of hoping that would come into play later in a negative way (like where Tom gets a little less trusting that Alex is "doing things behind her back," even though she was ambushed on the matter).
