Well McLeish wasn't close to him when the snipers mark was taken off a bit, I don't remember where he (McLeish) was standing but the distraction just cause the rifle to go up slightly from the President.

And putting the writers hat on if it was McLeish the rest of the conspiracy now becomes 100 times harder to write for multiple seasons.

You could probably write that off as her not knowing who she could trust. It's the easy way out but it works.

McLeish getting hit instead seems like it would be too obvious. His slight second-guessing to his wife probably sets him up for being killed sometime later but not yet.

Maybe the President did get hit, McLeish runs the country while Kirkman's life is saved, he recuperates, and they have some kind of faceoff to end the season?

I'll have to watch the promo again to see where people were standing.

I liked the finale, and thought the ending was cool, but I don't get why Maggie Q couldn't have just called in an anonymous tip about the assassination attempt. I'm sure that would have at least delayed the ceremony.

It better not be the prez that got shot. I'm honestly not interested in watching if they have him held up in a hospital bed for the rest of the season. I imagine it was his wife, Mike, or a random. Likely the wife since he wanted her to take the kids and leave earlier in the episode. I'm guessing this is off air for their winter break now?

Not surprised it was the chief of staff who made the call.

She could've yelled shooter in the window or anything.

Guy with the gun was far enough away that that bullet could've been so way off from everything.

They wanted to create drama but I feel like the season was dragged on just for this one moment.

I think the writing has to be better next season

Interesting if the chief of staff is involved in conspiracy somehow....

McLeish is being blackmailed same as the FBI guy, but his wife seemed like she could be in on more than we know? Not sure...

My wife said the first lady gets shot, and I tend to agree...though could they be trying to get rid of chief of staff? I doubt it...i bet intent was Kirkman

We enjoy the show and hopefully it gets another season...not sure if it's expensive to make or not

I don't know why they have to do this "winter break" crap. That never happened on TV before. Now every show has this long *** gap to get through....Walking Dead, Timeless, Westworld, This, etc etc etc.
