I thought the episode was good. Let's see where it takes us. I just don't see how they can do more than 1 season.

It feels like something that would be better condensed into a 2-2 1/2 hour movie.

I agree with the "backlash" aspect but I think the FBI lady thing is at least a little interesting. I want to see where that goes. Of course, if we don't get closer to an answer to her "gut feeling" next episode I may just throw up my hands.

I don't necessarily feel that way, I just think that they're going to have a difficult time managing all the moving parts of complete chaos-no Supreme Court, no Congress, no Cabinet, possibly secessionist Governors coming out of the woodwork, additional devastating attacks, and who knows what else.

It's a one hour melodrama-I didn't have any problem with the conference call to the scared Governor, nor the convenient bluff Prez Keifer executed. I'm more in line with Novicain13's thinking ("I thought the episode was good. Let's see where it takes us. I just don't see how they can do more than 1 season.") with the huge caveat of definitely thinking they could go multiple seasons. If I seem to be contradicting myself I'll just say I'm a 60-40 skeptic leaning in favor of the show.

I think they can easily extend it further seasons if they need to.

Surprise (re?)-election of the Jack Bauer (not sure how this scenario works).

Another terror threat that he has to get through in the next term. I think there are multiple ways they could ride this through multiple seasons if the ratings say they should.

I could see a situation where Kimball (I think that's her name, the Republican Designated Survivor) may have to join forces with a split ticket presidential bid. That could lead to some very interesting things with a Democrat and a Republican butting heads.

I still like it. I think it could last a while. I can see an arc where there is a mole in the White House or someone in the White House is actually behind the attack. They could easily tease that for a whole season.

I believe there's something fishy going on with the general and the Chief of Staff guy.

What picture was the fbi lady looking at in the end?

Also i hope they drop the mom and emo son segments . Those kinds of things are drags on tv shows.

Seems like it was the person she's been looking for to see if he's alive.....a boyfriend?

To be honest, I thought it was the president haha. I thought it was something like, "The president is actually missing and not confirmed dead, so he might be able to come back..."

That would be a tough one to hide though haha, I just don't remember what the president looked like in the pilot. He showed up on screen once in this episode, but I never rewound it before I deleted it.

First i thought she might be looking for a suspect then maybe the president. Wasnt very clear

They need to give her more to do than just look owned the whole show with very few lines

She could be an ingesting piece to the show....

I think it's her boyfriend. I wish it was made clear.

The guy that played the "probable late" president was significantly older than the guy in the photo.

The survivor could be someone that is higher on the designated survivor list than Kirkman...even as high as the Speaker Of The House (#2).

The series just received a full season order of 22 episodes.
