But yet, no mention of a price decrease

If they don't get it back come January (hopefully the start of NHL season), then I will have to switch to Hulu Live, since they still have the regional sports stations. I really enjoy YTTV but this would just be a killer for me, especially during hockey and baseball season.

Right! They take channels away and there's no mention of price reduction, imagine that.

Agreed, if I dont have Brewers baseball next Spring, I'm out.

Theres a new Chromecast that's out.

It has a remote and all, but I don't get why the remote can't have a skip ahead or go back feature.

The one thing I don't like about streaming any show on chromecast is that you can't skip ahead or go back unless you manually do it on a phone or laptop.

And I'm not sure what other TVs are like, but my TV has a feature built in where I can use the regular TV remote to pause, play, and change the volume of other devices such as chromecast. So that new chromecast doesn't seem to be as innovative imo.

I’m optimistic YTTV will get the Fox Regionals back. Sinclair seems to realize they’re running out of providers.

I’ve been really happy with YTTV so far. I’ll survive without the regionals until MLB is back, then I’ll have a decision to make. But I only got half of the Braves games this season, since my area only got Fox Sports South and not Sports Southeast.

I won’t go back to Youtube TV until they get 5.1

I made it through baseball season with Hulu, it was almost $20 cheaper than YTTV and still had the Fox RSN's.

Hulu isn't close to $20 cheaper now. More like $10.

Yes I'll give you that, but I thought YouTubeTV was or is soon going to be over $70.

Before taxes for me Hulu would be $55 YTTV is $65. Currently have YTTV the added DVR space is the selling point for me. No interest in the local Fox stuff here in NC since I still follow my NY sports teams anyway.

I was trying to recall from memory but was wrong. I just looked it up again and YTTV already had their price increase in July and it's $64.99. Hulu is $55, so yes the gap is $10. I have enough DVR space with Hulu (50 Hours). Don't need to save some stuff because a lot of Hulu is already on-demand anyway. Regardless, these streaming services are getting ridiculous with price increases. They were forecast to be a bargain when they started as there was no infastructure and should have stayed cheaper. Especially when you have to pay for high speed internet anyway to use them.

Reminds me of how digital downloads were supposed to bring down game prices because there was no disc or box to be produced. Howd that go?
