Collective Soul one of the most accomplished bands (8 #1 hits and countless others that were top ten hits) that nobody still knows about.

We talked about this a little before, but I don't think it's that people don't "know about" them, it's just that they don't know it's the same band that's been responsible for the brunt of Modern Rock hit songs for the past twelve years. Hell, that's a common problem I've run into way too many times, and that's only with people I've experienced in and around Atlanta.

I have never heard of Collective Soul.

Now Jack Johnson, that's a great artist right there, but his music is pretty selective, you either like it or you hate it.

Ben Folds and Butch Walker are two of the most underrated musical geniuses of our time.
The Beatles early material surpasses their latter work.

Dr Dre is an overrated rapper. The Cronic sold like it did because of Snoop's coming out party.

Doggystyle was better album then Cronic.


The Beatles were way overrated until they broke apart and did their own thing.

Vanilla Ice was actually a great MC.

Def Leppard was the best of all the 80s hair rock bands (I dont count Van Halen as a hair band)
Van Halen's 1984 and AC/DC's Back In Black are the 2 greatest albums ever
Nirvana Sucked and Peal Jam was better
Duran Duran is just awesome
Deep Purple was really underrated and people only know them for Smoke On the Water (which isnt even their best song IMO)

1) how one mc has more bling than any one else
2) how they are the greatest mc alive

That classic jazz -- not that smooth jazz porn-film soundtrack sh*t -- is the true original American musical art form, pioneered by African-Americans, that is being abandoned by all Americans, including the African-Americans who helped to create it.

Very sad. There was a time when young African-American musicians aspired to be great jazzmen. Now they just want to be rappers, and rap is a pale, pale musical art form compared to jazz.

Further evidence of the dumbing-down of American culture.
