Originally posted by Victor99LOL.:y4: I hear ya. As great as I think the 360 is, MS really needs to get it's act together with all these defective consoles. I was one of such victims, as I was out of mine for damn near a month. Needless to say, I just sent in for the 3 year MS warrenty. So far my replacement console has worked fine (knock on wood).Comment

EG is right. There just ain't enough info on the PS3 yet. Price, hardware, software, it's all speculation right now.How I wish, how I wish you were here. Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
Originally posted by ExtremeGamerHas your 360 died? I've had my 360 since launch, played it every day not a single lock up or freeze.
Now, the PS3 could very well have the same problems the 360 does currently, but I think Sony was smart to wait and probably are close to having a bug free system at launch as we speak. So I highly doubt it. I could be wrong though.Comment

Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
Originally posted by APOCNo, because I haven't bought it yet. Yes, I will buy one, but not until they fix the bugs. Two people who I know have had problems with their's. One, my neighbor who just bought one three weeks ago has boxed it up and sent it in. And a co-worker has one that skips and freezes and he wouldn't shut up about how much he wishes he could get his money back. I feel bad for the guy because he pre-ordered his 360 back in July and paid it off not too much later. And not to mention the Official 360 Problem's thread and the nightmare stories I've read they're and on other websites.

Sony's launches have been pretty much the same, every system launch has been bad, I can't think of one that wasn't. If you bought a Sega Dreamcast on launch you can remember that boxing game and Sonic both not working with the Dreamcast, and they had to press new discs for everyone. PS2 had no launch titles, Xbox the same, and the 360 has had some system issues.
The PS3 will sell a ton, I believe it will be $500. What I think doesn't matter in the least though. I also think it'll be a beast of a system, but in watching Sony recently, I worry that they are gearing this thing more as a DVD player than a game system, ala the PSP. I am looking forward to E3 to see what this thing can do, but until I see videos of games actually running on the machine and them being of actual gameplay, I can't get too excited for it.Comment

Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
I don't know about specs or what not, but what I do know is that both systems should be just about the same performance wise. Then I look at games, since I play only sports games, Sony has a first party baseball game that I love. Sony has better option as of now for sports games. Unless MS decides to develop a first party baseball game than I don't getting a 360( unless the PS3 is highly overpriced which means i'll go with the 360).Comment

I'm not a fan of any other Sony first party games, BUT MLB... To me, that game is a system seller.Comment

Originally posted by ExtremeGamerWhat makes you think that? What makes you love the PS3 so much without every seeing a single game for it besides videos? I'm just wanting to know why some of you just love this thing so much...
Hey, I loved the Xbox too. I thought it was superior to the PS2. Some of you need to realize that this is next-gen. I honestly think the majority of people on here are so bias towards the 360 because the Xbox was a better console than the PS2. That isn't the case anymore.
I am not happy with MS for rushing the 360 and charging an insane price for a system that IS NOT YET worth the money people are paying for it now. I'd love to see the 360 succeed, I just don't think MS really gives a dam about all the people they have screwed over with a sub-par product. The system has been out two months and besides a few games, there is nothing to play on it that is good. I'll wait to buy mine when there is a better selection of games and probably after I buy my PS3 because I'm liking what I hear about it. But that's me.Comment

How are people screwed with 360's? Again, you don't own one. Games? Name me the PS2 games that came out after launch... Fantavision, Bouncer? Yeah, those were great titles and it went though a few months of only a few titles. Game launches are always like that, and always will be. The 360 titles start to come out again next month and they are then steady for the rest of the year. So I have no idea how I'm screwed with it.
What are you hearing about the PS3 that excites you, I've asked it now a couple times and you keep saying it, but you never answer. Is it the hardware? The 360 is virtually identical, there won't be any difference in graphics, and if there is, it won't be as drastic as XBox to PS2 even (which wasn't that big of a gap either, but if you had an HDTV you could notice). Is it Blu Ray? If that's it, fine, I can understand that. But I want to know why you want it so bad.Comment

Originally posted by koolbubbaiceThe Sony fan boys would easily pay 800.00 for the PS3.. The Xbox360 was selling for has high as 4,000 on Ebay, & someone bought it..But no casual gamer will spend 800 or 400 for a gaming console..
But seriously, 800 is very cheap for a next gen console & Blu ray HD DVD player.. The stand alone player will cost you at leasta grand.. Has multi HDMI support. Again, not cheap.
I know ppl cry about the cost but new technology is never cheap.. Id easily buy a PS3 for 800.00..
Not to start anything, but are you calling yourself a Sony fan boy?Comment

Originally posted by ExtremeGamerWell, then I don't want to hear you comment on 360 problems then, you are going on hearsay, not your own experiences. Obviously Victor is in different shoes. But like I said, from my experiences, people I know, and what not, no one else has had issues. I've probably put over 100 hours on my machine already without a hiccup.
