Exactly if you're pro Sony you can't wait to hear bad stuff about Microsoft and vice versa. I fall into EG's camp I own all the systems and own a flawless 360 as the majority of 360 owners as well. I don't favor one company over the other.

I admit Microsoft had their share of problems and are looking to fix them to their credit. IMO Sony will not escape their share of launch headaches as did Microsoft. Sony has had a longer track record than Microsoft in the business and each time they've launched a system they've had to deal with their share of problems.

I hope i'm wrong but I feel the PS3 will be no different.

There are those who don't share your opinion. You'll just have to deal with it.

Like I said, there are just so many unknowns with both consoles right now. 2 years from now we should have a better idea.

If you believe that so strongly, I suggest you talk to everyone who posted they had a defective 360 here on OS. I think that'll give you a good idea of how many people out there bull****ted as you said about having a bad console.

Did you read the part where it say's (except for a few of my fellow trustworthy OS posters) I guess not.

What I was implying was if the majority of OSers were being honest about their defective consoles, wouldn't everybody else outside of OS? I guess you didn't catch that.

No, Sony is far from perfect. But a lot of people seem to hate the PS3 just because they own 360's and I guess it means something to them, emotionally I mean.

What majority, there were like 5 or 6 guys on OS that had probelms, and all five are from different states, so keep that in mind. This is my point, I will trust the guys on here because I came to know these guys for being good honest guys, I can't just believe the rest of the US that say there systems not working, they could be lieing for all I know. That what i'm saying.

You're right. I'm sure the MS repair center was just pulling a mean joke when they told people that they were swamped with broken 360's and it took 3 weeks for them to get your system repaired and returned. I'm positive just the 5-6 people here on OS had problems and the rest of the honest world is lying. How could I not understand that.

How did you feel about the 360 prior release? What made you love the 360 so much without every seeing a single game for it besides videos?

Hey, I loved the Xbox too. I thought it was superior to the PS2. Some of you need to realize that this is next-gen. I honestly think the majority of people on here are so bias towards the 360 because the Xbox was a better console than the PS2. That isn't the case anymore.

I am not happy with MS for rushing the 360 and charging an insane price for a system that IS NOT YET worth the money people are paying for it now. I'd love to see the 360 succeed, I just don't think MS really gives a dam about all the people they have screwed over with a sub-par product. The system has been out two months and besides a few games, there is nothing to play on it that is good. I'll wait to buy mine when there is a better selection of games and probably after I buy my PS3 because I'm liking what I hear about it. But that's me.

Uhh.. there were actual IN GAME videos of the 360 games and not just rendered videos which got me wanting the 360.
Were you even around for ANY past system launches? You sure don't sound like it.

I'll also have the PS3 (not at anything above 400 - 450.) and then I'll have the best of both worlds with a side order of "Revolution" also.
Please stop drinking the Sony Koolaid will ya. It really is getting rather tiresome.

I don't hate the PS3 or Sony (i'm a former Sony employee)as a matter of fact I bought and own a perfect Xbox 360 and I plan on buying a PS3 as long as the price doesn't exceed $500.

I'm not putting words in your mouth but it appears you get a certain satisfaction that some (3-5%) have broken Xbox360's and that 50% of all Xbox 360 have problems. And just because it's Sony they can wave their magic and somehow avoid everything that's happened to the 360.

I'm of the belief that there's a good chance based a their past track record that they will encounter their share of mistakes, problems and headaches when they launch the PS3.

FF, believe it or not, that is indeed straight from the horse's mouth. As you know, I was out of mine for damn near a month. While the holidays slowed the repair process down for me as well the quantity of defective consoles also put a hurt on it. That is what I was told by a supervisor anyway. Of course, I can only speak for myself and my personal expierence. Some people got their consoles back quickly, others weren't so lucky. It seems it was a case by case basis. All in all though, I'm happy to have my console back and it has been working perfectly since I got it back. The motor is also a bit quieter, which is good. I also got the 3 year warrenty, which covers everything from parts to labor. While the launch lineup was weak, the early 06 lineup looks fantastic. CH2K6, FNR3, MLB2K6, Top Spin 2, GRAW, and Oblivion are all on my purchase list. Once MS takes care of the in house stuff, I think the future is bright. I'll be getting Xbox Live and a new HDTV as well.

Good point Microsoft has sold roughly 1.5 million systems. Take 5% of that total and you have 75,000 really pi$$ed off gamers who all want their system now. Add to the fact that MS is trying to fill orders for retail and yes it does present a problem. I agree.
