I just hate when fanboys rely on hearsay and swear that their system is or will be better. It was mentioned some time ago that the PS3 will be better graphic wise than the 360. I know 3 cats and throw that at me damn near everyday. I tell them that the diffrence will be slim but they insist that the PS3 will be this superior system that the 360 cant compete with. No matter what I tell them or how many articles I e-mail them, they rely on this information alone. Does'nt matter to me though, I plan on getting both but that because of the games, not the system specs or loyalty.
As for the increase in the prices, I hated it then and I still hate it. There are to many games that come out that aren't nearly worth a full price. 60 bucks is alot of money to gamble with. If you buy a 60 dollar game and it turns out to be trash or to short, than you just got ripped off. I think the same way about 50 dollar titles. I loved last year because the price points of many titles were cheaper than they've ever been. So after a few months, you find it in a bargain bin or on sale for dirt cheap. And I'm talking about quality games here.
There should be only few titles priced at the 50-60 dollar range and thats for highly anticipated titles. If a game is in its first iteration, it would benefit them more if they choosed a lower price point. This would allow "on the fence" buyers a better incentive at picking up the game. If you build up a fanbase, then those customers would'nt mind spending full price on the next version. And it would also pick up new customers due to word of mouth. My entire point is 60 bucks is just to much to gamble on a new game. I was just getting used to dropping 50.
