Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
The best part is I read an article about a month agao and they said that 1080p will not be viewable for at least 10 years from now if that, they said that 720p/1080i will be the set broadcasting view for quite sometime, so 1080p means nothing right now.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerLast edited by RoyalBoyle78; 01-31-2006, 03:26 PM.N.Y Mets

Originally posted by backbreakerAPOC, do yourself a favor and let it go. XBOX360 is king aroung here, anything PS related in these here parts are underwhelming. The truth of the matter is X360 is a rushed console and even on its best day, its just alright.

Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
Nope, I don't need one until the PS3. I have stated before I am holding out for one that is state-of-the-art and will be able to take advantage of everything in the television industry today. Which is why I think I have decided on the Panasonic 65" Plasma that may or may not become available in the US until this summer. It will be expensive, but I can afford it, so no worries!Originally posted by FootballForeveryeah so what are people going to do, just sell there old HDTV they just bought just because there PS3 supports 1080p, give me a break. I bet you don't even own a HDTV yourself.
I almost caved in and bought one for $4,000 last month at Best Buy when I bought a new IPOD (some punk stole my other one, it was laziness on my part though), but I am proud of myself for not doing it, yet. I don't have a 360 or PS3 to play it on yet anyway, so I am in no hurry.Comment

you mean more pre-rendered movies that you're going to see at E3...LOLThat list will change after E3 when more games are announced and we actually get to see what the games will be like."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: IGN says PS3 might break you
Yeah, I know. Not everyone can get one right away, but eventually, might. Nothing is cheap brand new, especially items like HDTV's. All I'm saying is that it will be compatable with the PS3.Originally posted by FootballForeverYeah It is so great, come everyone out there, go out and do yourself a favor and buy a spanking new HDTV with 1080p, "No don't give me that you can't aford it, just go buy one". PLease it doesn't matter what other bill's you have to pay, just get the TV so you could play the PS3. "Oh wait you may be paying a lot for the PS3 alone, what the hell go out. Please man everyone isn't rich like that.
No, your right. But it takes time for stuff like this to catch on fire, just give it some time.My point is not many TV's are 1080p, yes it's the new thing right now. The truth is people just don't have the money to buy an new HDTV, or a TV with HDMI hookup wich only come with HDTV's. I mean Sony shouldn't only worry about the future, they should worry more about today too, even though some HDTV's are aforable, but not the hdtv's with the Standard 1080p format.
No, like I said, waiting patiently for the perfect one for myself. No hurry whatsoever.APOC do you have an HDTV? If so does it have an HDMI hookup or is it 1080p, if not are you going to buy and new TV just for the PS3?Comment

You do know that as soon as you buy your state of the art tv, the technology is going to change again and your state-of the art won't be the latest and greatest anymore.Nope, I don't need one until the PS3. That's what I was wondering. I guess he likes having burn-in.Originally posted by bkrich83Why would you play video games on a plasma?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
