why not? it's not like MS doesn't already have Live. It's not like MS would try to go come up with a similar type service. I couldn't care less about an edge. I'll be a multi console owner. Again, i'm not married to MS or my 360.

so what you're saying is, Sony has an original idea for their "Live Service". Sony is not going to copy anything from MS? You, my friend, have lost it.


You better hope that PS3 is all it's being hyped to be or you're going to eating crow 3 times per day, 7 days per week, twice on Sunday. I can't believe you have so much faith in a company that has been nothing but big on talk and small on substance when it comes to their consoles.

If you read what I said about Sony matching all features of Xbox Live, what would that tell you? Yes, that Sony copied MS. Apparently that didn't register with some.

Anyway, I'm not here to argue. If Sony means everything they have "unofficially" said thus far, I hope we all get a chance to experience it. It would be great for the online gaming universe.

Just like Microsoft did with the 360, right. Unfortunetly, MS didn't put a consumer alrert on the box that informed people the system may only work for a few weeks before you have to send it in for a new one. I know there are those of you who claim you have never had a problem since you bought your 360 at lauch, but you know you have been frozen up playing a game before once or twice. The specs are the same in each one.

A lot of people realize now they should have waited and have begun selling their systems (isn't that right ExtremeGamer?).

No, that's not true. My 360 has NEVER froze or locked up on me playing any game. Nor has it froze/locked up in the dashboard. It's been running flawlessly since I bought it.

Ummm, from one Sony fan to another, I wouldn't be making statements such as this until we have a flawless PS3 in hand. Maybe you don't remember or have forgotten, but the PS2 was pretty defective when it launched. Sony admitted to using cheap parts and then re-designed the PS2 with better parts and even marked the new boxes of PS2's with an X in the bottom right hand corner to let gamers and sellers know that this system is one made with better parts. After this, we still seen some defective consoles, about the same amount that the 360 is reporting, but it took some major problems for Sony to get to that point.

I am looking forward to the PS3, but I hope that Sony learned from their mistakes last year, and the problems that the 360 is having.

The ps2 is still pretty defective. It's cheaply made and it breaks way too easily.

Probably and hope is all you have right now. The PS3 will probably be good. I hope the online service is better than Live, I hope it doesn't have launch problems like the last 3 Sony launches, It might have better graphics.

I enjoy my 360, great system. Loved my Xbox. Love my PS2. Love my DS... but yeah.

Again, I don't believe you've played a 360, I think you read other forums and post info here.

Like I said, I hope the PS3 is good, just for your sake. I've never met a single person more in love with something they've never seen, just read rumors about in my life.

It's one thing to be hyped for a system, but you take it to a unhealthy level.
