You said that you have nothing against MS, but how can you think the PS3 will be better when you haven't even spent time with the 360, unless you really spent time the the 360, I mean real time, not an hour, there now was you could just say that the PS3 will be better. Thats why people get on you about the things you say, your not very opened minded.

Someone who preferred the PS2 over the Xbox (which I'm assuming is the case here) are naturally going to have high expectations for its successor. Its only natural for his gut feeling to be that the PS3 will be the better system. Beyond that, who cares? Let him think what he wants to. There are just as many people condemning a system that they haven't even played yet and praising one thats only been available a short while with a mediocre software library. Its for those reasons alone why I can't take anyone seriously who's in love with either console at this point. In my eyes they're both just representations of potential value at this point, with the 360 at least having a clearer picture because it is playable.

I'm curious as to how the PS3 controller will be altered. I really don't think there's any topping the dual shock, maybe moving the analog sticks up and in a little would be beneficial. I enjoy the shape of the 360 controller though I've never liked the feel of the face buttons too much, though they're better than the ones on the original Xbox controller. My only real gripe with it is that it feels and looks cheap, like I could snap it in two if I twisted it. I expected it to weigh a bit more.

I actually like the Spider-Man font on the PS3, it looks "cool." I'm not sure how I feel about the shape of it as a whole though, its kind of weird. Looks good from some angles and looks clunky from others. Black is definitly the way to go though, it adds a certain sexyness to it. Nothing they showed yesterday has me excited at all. Waiting until E3 to see more won't be a problem for me, though I imagine some people here will be quite ancy.

More people around the world play PS2 online by far......so much more it's not even funny. I know "Johnny's Mom" and she didn't buy "Johnny" a gold membership when she bought him an Xbox 360 for Christmas because it was an extra 65 bucks or however much it costs now. But when she buys him a PS3 this Christmas, he'll be able to play online for free at least.

Huh? This isn't about the Core or Premium systems at all.
First of all you are taking fanboyism to a whole new level. This coming from a self-proclaimed Sony fanboy. Nobody has to call me that because I know that I am. But you are making me feel like I am hanging out with the wrong crowd with some of the comments that you make.

Second, while in terms of numbers, there may be more people playing the PS2 online vs the Xbox(s), that doesn't mean that Sony's online service is better because lets face it, it isn't. Not within the ballpark.

Finally, there is no way and I mean no way that we as Sony fanboys or anyone for that matter can say that the PS3's online service is better than or going to be better than Xbox live. Until we see it in action, which will be a E3, then making that assumption is absurd.

Do I think the PS3 online service will be good. Yes, maybe even great, now that they have Xbox Live to copy from. I don't care if Sony's online service is better than Xbox Live, I just want it to be on par with Xbox Live. That would be a major step forward.

First of all how is it better than XBL already, being that it's no where near being in production. I mean come on, I understand you are a blind fanboy, but at least attempt tp stay close to reality.

As far as XBL not being as big as everyone thinks, do you have any actual numbers to show you know how big it actually is? Or is this another hypothesis on your part.

Jeez, blind loyalty to a name brand has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever even heard of. You're proclaiming something that isn't even close to being out yet, as being better than something that's already established and in production, because of a name brand? That makes as much sense as farting in to a vacuum.

the PS3 controller will look very similar to the PS2 and PS1 controllers. I highly doubt that they make any significant change.

I did like the boomerang design though. So when I get mad and throw my controller, instead of it flying across the room hitting the wall or something else hard, it would circle back to me

I would think they would build upon the dual shock platform. The DS controller along with the 360 controller are my faves of all time.

Honestly, I didn't like the XBOX controller at first when I got the system, but it fit so much more comfortably in my hands. It was also sturdy as heck. I'm going through PS2 controllers over here and I refuse to buy another one cause I know that they'll "break" on me. Now, the XBOX 360 controller has got to be the most sensible controller made to date. It's just like the Dual Shock, but then it's not. It has triggers that you can use for various things. Pressure sensitive. It's mad sturdy with the buttons. Only thing I need to get that I'm waiting for are those gels for the controller.

By the way, I know about the lawsuit and everything, but I really don't know. What exactly was Sony getting sued about when dealing with the controller? Was it the setup, the design, the way it connected with the system? Can someone with a proper knowledge break it down for real??

While I would love for this to be true, my sense is that once they settle with Immersion over patent infringements they might not be able to use a similar design as the previous controllers. It would be a shame. Even though I love the Xbox360 controller I like the PS1 and PS2 controller even better.

I agree. To me the Dual Shock 2 was and still(my opinion) is the besty controller , especiall for sports games. The 360 controller is a close second. I really hope sony doesn't change much from the DS2.

I thought that was only for the vibration function or what not.

Ok now that I am confused, could you remind me what that lawsuit with Immersion was all about?

I agree the PS2 controller is the best most comfortable for me as well. Like I mentioned earlier Sony may have no choice but to change the look and design of their next controller.

Also a big fan of the dualshock and am looking forward to what the ps3 will come with.

I just find it better for maneuvering- for example, in Winning Eleven, I can really move better on the field. With the S Controller, I can't get a good position over the left analog stick, even with my fairly big hands.

For driving games though, the xbox has it right...nice and steady with great pressure sensitive trigger buttons.

I've used the xbox 360 controller briefly and like it so far.

Agreed, the XBOX triggers are far better suited for driving, while the PS2 controllers are better for me at least, for games like Madden and NCAA. The 360 controller seems to be a nice combination of both. Thank God,they got rid of the poorly placed black and white buttons.
