Someone who preferred the PS2 over the Xbox (which I'm assuming is the case here) are naturally going to have high expectations for its successor. Its only natural for his gut feeling to be that the PS3 will be the better system. Beyond that, who cares? Let him think what he wants to. There are just as many people condemning a system that they haven't even played yet and praising one thats only been available a short while with a mediocre software library. Its for those reasons alone why I can't take anyone seriously who's in love with either console at this point. In my eyes they're both just representations of potential value at this point, with the 360 at least having a clearer picture because it is playable.
I'm curious as to how the PS3 controller will be altered. I really don't think there's any topping the dual shock, maybe moving the analog sticks up and in a little would be beneficial. I enjoy the shape of the 360 controller though I've never liked the feel of the face buttons too much, though they're better than the ones on the original Xbox controller. My only real gripe with it is that it feels and looks cheap, like I could snap it in two if I twisted it. I expected it to weigh a bit more.
I actually like the Spider-Man font on the PS3, it looks "cool." I'm not sure how I feel about the shape of it as a whole though, its kind of weird. Looks good from some angles and looks clunky from others. Black is definitly the way to go though, it adds a certain sexyness to it. Nothing they showed yesterday has me excited at all. Waiting until E3 to see more won't be a problem for me, though I imagine some people here will be quite ancy.
