If a game is really good, to be honest, its worth $100 to me. I only buy a few games a year and play the hell out of them. I would easily pay $150 for a real good boxing sim that would keep me content for a few years.

$100 can't even buy me and my wife a nice dinner and entertainment for an evening. I'd pay $100 for a game I get 100 or more hours of pure enjoyment out of.

I would never pay $150 for any game, I'm lucky I'm paying $60 for a game now.

Something new to think about. And how about when people makes mods on NBA Live? We should be able to use those too .

That's why I was excited about Linux. Not the fact that it is "Linux" (it could be Windows, still wouldn't matter), but the fact that you can use this thing as a computer now.

Still 9 months away though, let's see where they go with this.

great Idea, but there no wasy you are going to be able to use a PC game mode on a console game, I believe the coding is quite different. I don't think this is possible even if you have linux.

WOW, Sony even went the distance to even get a J. Allard look alike....WOW, that is funny as hell. Those screens look sweet, but I don't see any difference at all between any of those screens and 360 screens when looking at graphics.

I thought this was interesting.

I was sitting in the Xbox Live Marketplace lecture by James Miller, the Microsoft manager on the business that alllows gamers to download demos or even buy games to store on their hard drives on the Xbox 360. So far, gamers have downloaded more than 10 million items on Xbox Live Marketplace. It's been a very successful program, and Sony announced yesterday it would duplicate it with the Sony e-distribution network on the PlayStation Network. A Sony executive walked in and I asked him, "Are you here for competitive analysis?" He said, pointing at the screen, "Yes, this is going to be our strategy." I laughed. But then I saw Phil Harrison, executive vice president of Sony's worldwide studios, walk in and take a seat. I guess the other guy wasn't kidding.

The videogame industry copies everything, its nothing new. Rumble features, analog sticks and buttons, CD/DVD-based systems, etc.

I would think region-free becoming something common with 360 games would be meaningless. How many good, exclusive Japanese titles are released on the 360? My guess would be none.

Games are looking nice so far. They should improve quite a bit in the next 7 months or so plus the jump to final hardware. Hopefully I'll be able to snag one near launch, but I doubt it.

Since 360 came out first then it's their idea?

It's not that serious, I know. It's actually a big plus that PS3 has an online shop. But it's annoying seeing people look down on Sony for no legit reason and refuse to label themselves fanboys even though that's not a bad thing. If you just prefer Microsoft consoles over Sony ones just admit it. We won't argue with you.
