They may change their mind and allow game saves, but this is speculation. I read a few months ago that you could not save games with the HDD, but I guess that "could' change. We will just have to wait and see.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
what is the HDD for then just advertisement? Just so people will say "Oh man, they have a HDD now, take that xbox", not knowing you wont be able to save games on it.
I dont know about you, but somehow someway with Sony bleeding all of this money, they're going to try to figure out a way to gouge it back from the public.Comment

Only the PS2 hard drive was like that; believe you want but the PS3 WILL be able to save games directly to it.Last edited by ps2king; 03-20-2006, 03:28 PM.Comment

I am hearing that it will be around the time of E3 that people start taking pre-orders at least gamestop and eb. I don't know about other places. APOC says he has pre-ordered a couple of PS3's but when I asked him where, I got no response so take that for what its worth. My School's National Championships:

Actually I can't exactly pre-order yet, just like everyone else. I should have said I am on a few different PS3 lists at 3 places instead. I'm paying them off in full as soon as they start taking money.Comment

Sony must find a way to recover some costs. What better way than to make consumers buy memory cards for game saves. I know this does not make sense from our perspective, but Sony cares about making money. Of course Sony has been vague and they may not be sure themselves.Last edited by LIGHTNING; 03-20-2006, 11:39 PM.Comment
