I just hope the system is no more than 499.99. Even then it will be hard to pay it. I'll probably reserve one just in case.Joshua:

Originally posted by stiffarmleftUsing a receiver would require 2 HDMI cables but you would not need a seperate audio cable. All audio/video receivers have video inputs, hence the name, my tv only has 2 component inputs and my receiver has 3. This allows me to connect 4 component devices, xbox 360, dvr, dvd player and hopefully the ps3 in the future. Without a receiver or some sort of video switcher I would be constantly switching these around manually. It's the same principle with HDMI except you won't need to buy seperate audio cables with any devices that use HDMI. Believe me when it come to home audio/video the less cables the better.
I don't doubt you at all. I just never used my receiver for video, only audio. And I agree totally, the less cables the better. They're suck a pain when moving things or adding a new component.
But from what the guy above said about digital audio and HDMI, it would just seem to make more sense to just connect the HDMI to the TV, and a seperate digital audio line to the receiver.
In any case, I'm a fan of HDMI and think that it's about time that they came out with a cable like that.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
After the big PlayStation 3 news hit just a few days ago, one of the big questions that came out of the event was whether or not the PlayStation 3 would come with a hard disc drive, or if gamers would have to shell out extra dough to get one at launch. In a recent report from Yahoo Games, Sony confirmed to the outlet that the PlayStation 3 will come with the 60GB hard drive as a standard, but users will be able to upgrade if they so desire.
During Wednesday's report, Sony's Ken Kutaragi wasn't clear whether or not the hard disc drive would be included in the retail package or not. This is extremely good news since Sony revealed Wednesday that the hard disc drive would be required for playing games.

Too bad they missed the boat again not that they wouldn't want to copy MS at all mind you. How about allowing us to save games to the HDD Sony? Or will we have to keep buying your overpriced memory cards?Comment

At the briefing, the slide shows that they were speaking about a PS3 online shop where you can buy and download content and games and load them from your HDD.
And for the guy that can't read:
You can buy content by paying monthly subscription OR buying seperately (if you don't plan on buying/downloading alot every month) OR micropayment (whatever that means). You don't do all three at the same time.
Geez all I did was repeat what was on the slide. Is this not a PS3 information thread? That's why I posted it.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910
