Something just popped in my head.

Most likely we'll be using the memory sticks as memory cards right? And core version doesn't have a memory card reader. But it has USB ports right.

So we can buy a memory card reader for like 8 bucks and we're good to go? I just thought of that. If that works that gives me another reason to consider this version of the console. I already have a 1gig memory stick. I can do w/o WIFI if it'll save me $100. Don't need a HDMI port or whatever either. I don't even know if my HDTV has one of those (I don't think so. I just use component cables).

*scratches his head* ... But I kinda still want the 60GB HDD. Some people with 360 say downloads can take a chunk of space out of the 20GB HDD. I'm looking to put alot of music, a few episodes or somethin, and stuff on their.

Hmm, but I think about it again, I can get 40GB more and WIFI for $100 more. Plus a wireless controller. Blah, just get me a damn PS3.

I doubt they would let you do that.

I'll just put it too you like this, since stringer has taken over, the proprietary nature of sony has taking a side seat. I wouldn't be suprised that you will be able to do that, I say that because they are letting you install an off the shelf sata 2.5 harddrive and you can also you a usb harddrive upto 120Gb.

one of the higher-ups already said that you'll be able to buy a media card reader straight off the shelf

you could also assume then that you can use a usb-thumbdrive

as well, if you're not content with 20GB, you can easily upgrade it to whatever size you want straight off the shelft

the 20GB version does have wireless controllers... assumption is that it comes with the wireless controller but at the very least can be bought down the road.

As a consumer I really don't like the words that come out of Ken's mouth. It is a toy. It is for entertainment purposes. It wont cure cancer, it wont heal the planet, it is a very expensive toy. I have no problems with anyone who feels comfortable paying the price for it. I may get one at some point, but man Ken is one arrogant guy.

What's he supposed to say? It's an over-priced toy and isn't all that great? Every company hypes up their product to make it seem like its a necessity and a flawless machine. These accusations of arrogance just seem like a scape-goat for some people to blindly despise Sony.

How can you say that something isn't that great when all we have seen are trailers and haven't gotten to play one with our very hands. Maybe it doesn't seem as great as the 360 because well, the 360 came out first and shocked and awed us with next-gen graphics and technology.

Everyone is so quick to write off the PS3 and mainly because of the price. Well, if the price is too high for you then don't buy one. I understand and I to agree that $600 is steep. But I will not say that the PS3 is crap and insuperior to the 360 without having played it. That is like wiping your butt before you poop, it doesn't make sense whatsoever.

The PS3 is superior to the XBOX 360, but not over $200 superior. I would be tempted to buy one if MGS4 was a launch title, but I hear now it isnt coming out till christmas 07'.

What is he supposed to say? How about anything but going on and on about what a great value it is and that it's the next coming? He could stand by it as a solid product and not keep blabbing about we should work harder for a friggin toy, etc. etc. It is arrogance and it has nothing to do with the 360 (referring to the post below yours).

It seems like Sony is really making the PS3 more important than it really is....and that's my beef. Many companies do this all the time, but since gaming is a hobby of mine it ticks me off more.

Ubisoft Loves PS3 Controller

Microsoft bigwigs may be lining up to take a pop at it, but Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot loves the PS3's motion-sensing controller - promising that plenty of Ubi titles will support it.

Guillemot's comments came in an exclusive interview with Eurogamer TV, due to be broadcast soon, with the publisher boss revealing: “We were so happy to see that Sony was taking that direction - we think it will help to have a better experience so we are going to use that a lot.”

Guillemot did not specify any PS3 games which might incorporate motion-sensing - but given Sony's announcement appeared to come as a genuine surprise to most of the games industry, any such titles are probably a long way off.
