Cjones, probably not unless Sony came up with a deal with the patent holders of the dualshock controller.
That's why we saw that crazy boomarang controller a couple months or so ago.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Originally posted by SportsorDeathThat's what it's all about nowadays, though. The multimedia experience. Nintendo tried your line of thinking with the Gamecube and they got trounced. I am not saying you are dumb or wrong to want just a game system, but this is 2006, not 1995 anymore. These companies know damn well that they need to offer more and more in order to really succeed in this market climate. With each console generation, it will be less about the games themselves and more about what else they can sell to you and advertise through the games and other avenues (e.g. downloadable content).Comment

No, I'm not at the 90/10 point yet? I'm still at the 50/50 point.
Assassin's Creed looks insane. If SONY gets more innovative titles like AC at launch with a system price point for $399-$499, I may fall for it.Comment

I camped out for a 360, but I doubt I'll be doing that again for the PS3. If I get one I will pre-order day 1. It's too cold in Chicago and that day on 360 launch it was cold.Comment

CG I'd assume.
the first trailer had about 5 seconds of actual gameplay that looked pretty good as well
The animation should be top notch considering this is the Prince of Persia Team iirc.Comment

FF has to have one now because he owns a PSP for the 4th time. Too bad they are releasing in Japan and USA at the same time or he would get the Japan one first, then sell it to buy the USA version. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
Originally posted by RodsterActually we should take bets on whether they'll sell their PS3 and buy another one as soon as another must have game comes out.
I've only owned the PS2 twice, I sold the "fatty PS2" which I had since launch back in March to buy a slim so I didn't have any problems with MLB06 like I did with MLB2006. Then I sold the Slim since I needed some money at the time, but I kept all my games and accessories. I ended up buying another one a month later.
I've owned the PSP and XBOX twice.
Funny thing is that I've never lost a dime with selling these items and repurchasing as I've sold them on ebay.Comment

About the PS3, I think everyone is surrounded by the PS3 hype right now, Like they should be...I will not buy two systems at all, I never owned both system at the same time. When the hype dies down and promises are problem like always, I still think the 360 will be end up being the better system...This is just my opinion. Owning two next-gen systems will be a dent in anyones wallet..I'm caught in the PS3 hype too right now myself, only time will tell. So if your going to bet, bet on FFLast edited by RoyalBoyle78; 05-08-2006, 04:56 PM.N.Y Mets
