        I normally dont play RPG's....

In fact, the only games I have played close to Oblivion are Zelda: Ocrina of Time (which i loved) and the GTA series... If ya'll guys are comparing this game as a cross between those genres, I will HAVE to get this soon....

But like Bryan said, I just dont have enough time to devote to this game right now... maybe over the summer.

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Impressions Thread

I have played two hours of the game and love it.

                Some points of interest:
As mentioned the physics are excellent. I killed a monster at the top of a tower and he fell over a ledge all the way down the tower. I have also noticed that when you are a novice marksmen your arrows will go way off course.

Oblivion has a faster and more exciting start to Morrowind.

Thank god for the fast travel system. I hated having to walk everywhere in Morrowind. I also like the idea that you can have horses in the game.

The graphics are beautiful, although the dark environments are wayyyy too dark for these 34 year old eyes.

I have waited a long time to play this game and so far it is an improvement over Morrowind in every way.

yeah, trying to get around at night can be a real adventure. The monsters come out in force after dark as well. I like how they have inns on most of the major roads so you can stop and rest until morning.

actually, this game will probably be enjoyed more by people who arent big time into RPGs. The action, graphics, and details of the game are very impressive, but hard core, experienced RPG fans would probably prefer something like WoW.

and if you want a 360 "showcase game", then you should have this one in your collection.

Did you try upping the brightness slider in the options?

Played for almost 2 hours, taking my time and sneaking around, and I just passed the point where you choose your class. I'm loving the improvements. The revamped physics, combat, and stealth gameplay add so much to the game. I just shut off the box to take a breather, but I'm anxious to get back to it. 2 hours in and I haven't even scratched the surface, yet. Great stuff.

Ditto, played for like an hour and 36 minutes, and I've yet to do much at all. Can't wait to get back to the game. Not a fan of RPG's, but this game is very addicting so far.

To try and make a point:
1: This game is a MUST OWN, period, imo.
2: I have taken a quick break and will be going right back to the game.

If you still have any doubt about this game and are still "on the fence", it's time to come off the fence and get this game now!

The graphics , physics and atmospere are all top notch.
The most aggravated I've gotten so far is losing an arrow after I shot a deer and it took off. I wanted my arrow back.
