That's weird, it doesn't Autosave right as you die. Worst case, you'd have entered a ruin or something with no health and gotten hit, in which case I wouldn't blame the autosave.

I even did a rest when I was a vampire and forgot I would be in sunlight. I died instantly when I woke up, but the autosave was made before the actual resting, so it wasn't a big deal.

You're saying it autosaved AS you died? Something smells fishy here...

Well, you can sometimes find them in barrels or crates, and some stores have a few of them for sale. It may be that after so many days the guy you talk to for the theives guild will get more lockpics, not sure though. BTW, how do you break so many? I break nearly any lock without breaking a lockpick.

If I have Heavy Armor as a Major Skill do I need Light Armor? Or is that a waste of a skill. Right Now I have these for my character.

                Armorer
                Blade
                Heavy Armor
                Sneak
                Marksman
                Block
                Light Armor

A complete waste unless you plan on wearing a mixture of heavy and light armor. Sneak is another tough one to specialize in, since you can level it up so easily and it's not something that is really tough to get to 25 (the starting "major" skill without mods).

Personally, I pick one damage line and go with it. If I want to go blades then I don't take marksman and vice-versa. It's tough to level up 2 different attack lines. I might take blades and destruction or marksman and destruction...with blades I'll use more ranged magicka attacks, and if I'm a marksman I'll use the "touch" range attacks for when they close to melee and I don't have to pull a blade.

It's all preference, more than likely. But heavy AND light armor seems like a waste to me.

Now that you almost finished the game, what's the draw to keep coming back and playing.

The fact that "finishing the game" isn't finding all the little hidden ruins and forts...***nning across random villages that have their own little problems. Side quests are a good thing, and it's almost like playing an MMO. I've logged over 115 hours on the game so far and still haven't even felt the need to ditch it yet.

Yea, here's the deal. You're basically splitting your character across two basic types. One is a hack-n-smash type of guy who would use a sword and shield and blugeon things to death while staying in the thick of things by wearing heavy armor. The other is a lightly armored marksman who gets by mostly on ranged attacks, stealth, and speed. You're really much better off going one way or the other and building from there. If you spread a character's skillset across too many different areas then you run the risk of becoming too well balanced and not really being very good at anything in particular.

I can't remember. Do you have the 360 or PC version? As much as you seem to be enjoying it, the mods that will soon be available for the PC version might add to your enjoyment even more. I love the mods for Morrowind.

I have heard that you can start a new character at the end of the first dungeon . This would be after a 1st character. Anybody know how to do this?

Thanks TCouch and ComfortablyLomb for your responses. that helps me a lot. I was so into creating a replica of Maximus (Gladiator) I just was avoiding Magic period.

How about replacing Marksmen, Sneak, and Light Armor with Restoration, Alteration, and Destruction. Sorry if i am missing the point.
