My biggest complaint about this game? It's eaten up way too much of my free time.

I don't even like RPG's, but as I was telling TCrouch on IM the other day, this is the best game I have ever played. I haven't been drawn in to a game and so engrossed in I can't remember how long.

My only real complaint is that most of the towns look the same. Not in design but in Architecture. Every major city looks like a clone. In Morrowind, there was no city that looked like Balmora....or Vivec, or Sadrith Mora, or Caldera, or Molag Mor, or the Tel Vos type towns. The regions felt much more like a segregated regions than in Oblivion. You had the region that produced wind storms. The region that had that rain that took away your energy. That region that had the lava pools, etc. I'm still keeping hope that the towns and regions of Cyridiil look varied. So far, everything looks the same except to the North where it snows.

ok i'm trying to cast the reverse invisibility spell and it says i have to go into the center of town, but its so small i have no clue where the center is. I also have no clue what the name of the town is as I am at work. Any clue here? thanks fellas

I believe it's in the middle of the pumpkin patch or whatever it is right outside the inn.

ok cook, thanks bk. So you just set the reverse invis as a hot key, then get in the pumpkin patch and hit the direction...or once i get in the right spot, will i be able to equip it from the 'b' menu? sorry, no clue how to use these things.

Just go to the menu and equip the spell. No need to hotkey it. Also, dont forget to put the ring on he gave you.

whoa, what dude gave me a ring? the same guy that gave me the reverse invis spell? damn, must have missed that one. That would probably explain why it didn't work.

Does anybody know if there is a 'screenshot' key in the PC version?

Here's a good tweak I found to increase your framerate.

EDIT: to allow screenshots - it's in the my documents/my games/oblivion folder. Change

bAllowScreenShot=0
set to 1 to allow the PrintScreen key to take screenshots

In the same oblivion.ini you had to change to allow screenshots, find

iMinGrassSize=80

The higher the number the less dense the grass is. I changed mine to 170. I thought at 171 the grass starts going away so don't set it too high.

This makes the grass very thin and sparse. With thinner grass, you should get a noticeable increase in frame rate. At least I did. It also helped to be able to spot those wolves attacking out of nowhere.

Very nice find. Lots of good tips in one place. Solved the ffdshow opening multiple copies for me. Oh, and some of those mods at the end are a must like the UI enhancement.

Can someone help me out here? I just finished the Serpent's Pass quest from the Countess in Burma, gave her the artifact, and she gave me some magic ring. I had no problem equipping the ring initially, but then I found out that you use the Sigil stone from the first Oblivion gate to enchant armor. I enchant my Dwarf cuirass, equip it, and now I can't put the ring back on. What gives? The description says "You can not equip this right now". Why? I rested, went to different towns, etc. I want that ring! I can't buy another unenchanted dwarf cuirass in Burma as I slaughtered the shop owners. Where else can I by them? Or is this simply a glitch?

Any help with my question? Thanks!
