I was going to do the same thing for both this and Gears until I found out that at Best Buy, the $5.00 you put down for the pre-order does not count towards the final purchase price of the game. I'm going to risk that Best Buy's going to stock more copies of the game than just pre-orders.

Ummm, they keep it? I was surprised as well, but the salesperson I spoke to insisted that the $5 did not go towards the final purchase price. I asked "then what am I paying for?" and she responded that I would be paying for the right to have a copy reserved for me and waiting on the first day. Of course, there's always the possibility that she just didn't know the answer or was wrong. If you find out different, please let us know.Comment

I know this isn't about GH2, but there's been plenty of original GH talk in this thread, so....
I finally 5-starred Cowboys from Hell!!!!
.....On medium. And believe me, to me that's an accomplishment. The funny thing is, I wasn't even paying attention to my score. That was because I missed the first EIGHT notes of the song! I figured I wasn't going to do anything on this run through, so I didn't even bother looking. I was still using Star Power like I should, and I knew I was hitting long runs of those chords, but I still thought it was pointless. All of a sudden I look up after the solo and see over 160,000 points - 10,000 more than my previous top score for the ENTIRE song! I still don't really know how I did it, but ended up with around 180,000 and a 5-star rating.
Only BaTM remains to be 5'd....but I've also worked my way up to (passing) Cochise on Expert. Between this and newly released FFXII, there's absolutely no way I'm going to finish this game before the sequel drops. Oh well - I'm having too much fun to care.Comment

same here...can't get more than 4 stars on CFH or BATM on medium. I don't even play hard. I just can't get used to moving my hand. It took me a couple of weeks just to able to use my pinky for the 4th fret button. I'm still having fun on medium so I don't care.My Teams

I always play on Medium. Mainly because when God made me..he gave me the fatal flaw of not being able to only use my first and third fingers to hit the Red/Blue combos consistently and...it's too damn much for me to slide my hand down.
That being said...I too have hit 5 stars on Medium for Cowboys from Hell. My favorite song to jam on there is Cheat on the Church though..BADASS SONG!AUBURN TIGERS

I've five starred the first four venues on Hard, and am up to Crossroads on Expert (only five starred a handful on Expert).
