If I had $600, I would've done it. I'm 18 with a job, getting paid minimum wage. Why wouldn't I have done it? Making at least $1,500 for a system, that is an unbelievable opportunity. Unfortunately I don't have $600 to do that, or I would have.

I should have just paid you the 600 bucks to do it, and we could have split the profit. I just don't have the time.

Hell no. Way too much effort for me, to make 6 or 7 hundred dollars. I'd probably lose more money during that time in business lost.

Exactly, maybe Im saying it wrong, but IMO its not worth it for the money. All that effort for a couple hundred bucks is not worth it my dude. Thats why Im saying it seems greedy. Im not getting the thing until MGS 4 comes out so it doesnt matter to me, again like I said Im not knocking the hustle. This whole fiasco just seems rediculous to me.

Exactly, maybe Im saying it wrong, but IMO its not worth it for the money. All that effort for a couple hundred bucks is not worth it my dude. Thats why Im saying it seems greedy. People think lots of things like this are funny, until someone does something similiar and takes money out of their pocket, then it's not funny anymore.

That's why I don't sell my games or anything else on EBAY anymore. I got tired of having to do an auction three or four times just to get a legitimate buyer. I just trade em in now even though I get a lot less money for them, but at least I don't have to sell something three or four times anymore.

Wow you had some bad luck with buyers. I had this problem once over 100 or so transactions.

Same here. I just don't mess with EBay or any of the online auction stuff anymore. It's just not worth my headache.

I sold one thing on Ebay, Splinter Cell. Got $45 for it, with shipping. I sent it out on Monday. Wonder if he got it yet. Anyway I bought a couple things on Ebay, and so far everything has gone smoothly.

I was the first to blame Sony. I asked why no one is blaming Sony. And if you don't think this shortfall in units isn't intentional, just before the Christmas season, you're kidding yourself.

Heaven forbid, someone makes a buck. Those greedy bastards, making money. How dare they.

Anyone in their right mind knows Sony is loving this. What is the hot item this Christmas? The PS3! Not the 360, not the iPod, not an HDTV... the PS3! They love it! They are INTENTIONALLY holding back units the same way they did with the PS2. It's even worse in Japan.

That still doesn't excuse the people I ran into in the lines. Guys putting their kids on line for 2+ days... all so they can sell the system. That's pathetic.

It's greed. G-R-E-E-D. Whether it be this, a player like A-Rod taking an unrealistic amount of money just to do it, or you taking the last cinnamon bun from the plate when you've already had one and others haven't had any, it's still being greedy.

So you're telling me if you had indeed gotten a console, and on your way out of the store, someone walked up to you and offered you $1500 for it, you'd say "Nah, that'd be greedy, I'll give it to you for $800"?

The difference in your scenario would be that he would not have been the one initiating the transaction. In your scenario it would not at all be greedy.

in the sellers' scenarios, the sellers are the one initiating the transactions and are waiting on the other party to seal the deal. In your scenario, it's vice versa.

Yup, if someone tries to make a buck, they're greedy. Excellent logic. You realize we live in a free market society right?

When reselling a PS3m.At what dollar amount is it not greed? Who sets that dollar amount? And how do they come to that figure?

I've been buying and seling real estate for the last couple of years. So if I sell at or above market value, that makes me greedy? I always thought it made me a succesful business man. Not to mention put food on my family's table.

Oh so the sellers are forcing the buyers to not only buy the PS3's but buy them at those prices. I was not aware of that. Even in the Ebay scenario, it's really the buy initiating the transaction, with his bid.
