If someone approached me with the offer I wouldnt turn it down, but I wouldnt go home rubbing my mits together staring @ my computer screen hoping some people wanting this thing would pay me a rediculous amount of money for it. You cant tell me people who froze their a$$ off, slept outside and delt with fights,lol, just to make a extra couple hundred bucks isnt greed?

So because you hadn't set out to sell it in the first place, it's not greed, but since they were intentionally re-selling the device they are greedy .Great logic.

That's the whole point! These people don't. Hell, just ask anyone that was on line for the damn thing... they solely want the system to take advantage of the market.

If Sony had done this it would be the worst thing ever.... limited release, high price tag. But because it's the everyday person doing it, sure... no problem.

How are they taking advantage? They don't set the market price, people do. If the PS3 were selling for $800 then a lot less people would be selling them. I understand your point that taking it away from someone that wants to play it but they have/had the same chance as the person looking to sell it.

Personally it doesn't matter IMO. One gets enjoyment from playing while others get it from selling it. And the people ruining these auctions are the true greedy idiots.

I completely agree with the fools bidding on the system and causing the inflation of the price. It's a complete joke.

But man... maybe you can explain to me how the ones ruining the auctions are "greedy?"

Being offered rediculous amount of money for something to me is different then me seeking out something just to take advantage of the item bein limited and people wanting it for their personal enjoyment. If people sleeping outside freezing and fighting just for a couple extra hundred bucks isnt greed, then I dont know what is. You cant deny that.

I was the first to blame Sony. I asked why no one is blaming Sony. And if you don't think this shortfall in units isn't intentional, just before the Christmas season, you're kidding yourself.

Heaven forbid, someone makes a buck. Those greedy bastards, making money. How dare they.

How does that even make sense. They went through the effort to acquire the device, that not everyone wants to go through. Now they are selling it a price people are willing to pay, something you admitted you would do yourself, and they are doing something wrong?

That doesn't even remotely make sense.

I don't see a problem with people selling them on EBAY. I wanted to try and find one to do the same thing because it would have paid for a lot of 360 games and a Wii. I do have a problem with people doing fake bids, Once you've been bitten by the fake bids, Nigerian Scammers, and all the other BS on EBAY while trying to sell something, I think a lot of folks would feel differently.

Exactly its just immature for people to f***k up someones sale bid, thats just hating, but these people putting themselves through this sh1t for a few hundred bucks, cmon man, the whole situation is ********.

People think lots of things like this are funny, until someone does something similiar and takes money out of their pocket, then it's not funny anymore.

Wrong wording. What I meant was, they want something, can't have it and now are setting off to ruin other people's auction just because they couldn't get it.

Why is that ********? People have different value of money. The way there are making, or at least most of them are clean and legal. Some people may have medicals bills to pay, debts, whatever, they have to right to do it if they feel it's right. You don't, but is it a reason why it's ********?

Hell no. Way too much effort for me, to make 6 or 7 hundred dollars. I'd probably lose more money during that time in business lost.

If I had $600, I would've done it. I'm 18 with a job, getting paid minimum wage. Why wouldn't I have done it? Making at least $1,500 for a system, that is an unbelievable opportunity. Unfortunately I don't have $600 to do that, or I would have.
