I'd double check and see whether or not they have that PS3 Rock Band/Guitar Hero guitar issue fixed, but it seems like a wash.
    The PS3 Guitar Hero still doesnt work for Rock Band. I had EA send me another guitar so know I have two but only for 28 days.

      Finally got my new kick pedal today... man, I'm a shell of my former self lol.

      Still able to get over 90% on Boston, Metallica, etc. on Hard, but I feel so out of sync now.

              Does the Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 guitar work with Rock Band? My RB guitar is fine right now, but you never know. Plus I like to play bass and let my son handle the lead guitar. At least we enjoyed that on GH2 anyway...

                  Yeah, GH guitars work with RB.

                  RB won't work with GH though (which doesn't affect me since I don't like the strum bar of that guitar)

                      Yep.

                      Well, my roommates and I got inducted into the Hall of Fame last night.

                      If ANYBODY can beat that freaking Iron Maiden song on Hard (drums) without failing at least twice, you're the damn man.

                        Nice work getting into the HoF. Assuming you're talking about Run to the Hills, that song is brutality. I managed to hack out Won't Get Fooled Again by taking sections of the song into practice mode and learning them at half speed, but Run to the Hills is just....yeah. I'm not there yet.

                        I think my crowning achievement in this game so far was learning Keith Moon's drum solo fill in WGFA, towards the end of the song. Drilling that, more so than any other part of this game, made me feel like a friggin' rock star.

                          from joystiq.com

                          Stealing the thunder out of Harmonix's weekly Rock Band downloadable content announcement, Xbox.com has listed the rest of the month's DLC.

                          Week of Jan. 22: Oasis Pack (440 MS points/ $5.50)

                          * Don't Look Back in Anger (160 MS points/ $2)
                          * Live Forever (160 MS points/ $2)
                          * Wonderwall (160 MS Points / $2)

                          Week of Jan. 29: Progressive Pack (440 MS points/ $5.50)

                          * Siva - Smashing Pumpkins (160 MS points/ $2)
                          * Working Man - Rush *Cover* (160 MS points/ $2)
                          * Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial) - Coheed and Cambria *Cover* (160 MS Points / $2)

                          Barring any unforseen hiccups, we're assuming that the songs will be available on PSN as well. We'll be sure to remind you of the DLC with our Rock Band Weekly posts over the next couple Mondays.

                          leaning towards getting the Oasis pack myself

                                On a scale of awesomeness, this is a 11 out of 10.

                                Since Rock Band isn't going for just straight up "Rock" songs, I wonder if there's any chance Name by Goo Goo Dolls (one of my favorite songs of all-time) will make an appearance as DLC. I would also love to see OLP make an appearance in Rock Band.
