Down to 2 songs I can't 5-star on Expert on the main setlist... Run to the Hills and Ballroom Blitz. Both songs suck imo, and I'll probably never 5-star them because I hate playing them.

Whoa whoa whoa, Run To the Hills sucks?

Saying anything Iron Maiden sucks seems just wrong.

Ballroom Blitz however, I agree.

PS: Congrats on the 5-star of GGaHT. It's the only song in the game I haven't passed yet (also can't pass "Thrasher" by Evile)

Run to the Hills I can understand - but Ballroom Blitz? That's a pretty easy one to 5 star. I think I got a Gold Star on that on my 2nd or 3rd try. GG&HT and RttH, though - I can't get past 4 1/2 stars - just too hard for me.

I've been working on Gold Starring (staring?) as many songs as I can. I'm only about 15 songs away from Gold Starring all the game-disc songs, but I doubt I'll get much further. I'm getting bored - and frustrated with some songs where I'm anywhere between 1,000-10,000 away but I keep messing up a certain section no matter how much I try.

I've managed to pull into the top 3500 LIVE players now, which isn't too bad

You know what? I'm kind of getting mad at Harmonix.

Many of the DLC songs have been promotional songs. Labels are going to Harmonix, getting their song put into the game so that they can promote them to us, and then getting paid for it.

Like the new Staind song, and the Motley Crue stuff. We're literally paying Harmonix to advertise to us.

If they're going to pull that BS, the least they can do is at least get the right to an older, and better in most cases, song and make a pack - so that we can at least get a decent song to play, and so that it's not purely for advertising purposes.

This game is starting to feel more and more like an advertisement as I see the DLC that's lined up.

Yeah there's some of that, but there's a lot of other stuff too. The Who pack was hardly promotional. The Shinedown stuff wasn't promotional either. The stuff you mentioned definitely was though, which is kind of annoying. I think pretty much anyone would rather play Dr. Feelgood or Girls, Girls Girls instead of Saints of Los Angeles.

I meant the note charts, lol. I suck at the fast parts in Run to the Hills.

I dunno... there are 2 parts that always get me. The 1st I could probably get if I practiced it (but I dont wanna), is during the first and second verse. Its like 2 chords, then some hammerons, and then chords again. I know, its probably easy its just something I suck at.

The other part is the fast part, especially where it alternates between a chord and single note every note. Since I'm not good at alt-strumming, I can't down strum that part fast enough.

And sadly, I JUST 5-starred Paranoid last night. On GH3 I aced that song and was in the top 2,200, but in RB it took me forever to 5-star it lol.

And you're ranked 3,500? Wow... I'm only at 17,199 and I've gold-starred a lot of songs too.

I actually did record it one time (not a 5-star though), but I recorded on a DVD-R which doesn't have sound and can't be saved onto a computer or uploaded. And also, the phone rang in the middle of the song too lol. If I ever get any DVD-RWs (I think thats the right kind), I might record it. You will only see the screen though, not me and my masterful work lol.

I wish I could tell you, but for some reason it hasn't been updated on the leaderboards. It still shows my score at 247,726, which is good for 43,219. But my new score is 276,249. I could manually search the leaderboard for where my spot should be, but I'd rather not lol.

Don't think this was posted but this is pretty awesome. Rush playing "Tom Sawyer" on Rock Band before The Colbert Report. They failed at 31%, lol.

It seems to take a couple of hours for the leaderboards to update for me.
