Nice! This is the best gaming month ever. I remember you posted about stress in relation to what to play since so many good games were hitting at the same time.

Since Fable is first, I know I will not be able to hold off. Equally as excited about Fallout so I am stuck. Just no time to play these games as much as I want to on top of NBA and FIFA. Sad or not I have been thinking of ways to make it work.

Re: Fallout 3 Website Is Now Up

People have been downloading this since last night.

It seems to be a review copy, but I can't believe stuff like this happens - why would bethesda ever send out review copies again after this?

I would think next time if they do, they could at least put a small bit of code for each copy they send out, so at least they know what company leaks the game. - and sue them and send out a pretty big deterent.

Spoiler warning of course, but here's a live stream of someone playing a 'review copy' on the 360. Working as of 1:26 central time....edit lol, drops in and out sometimes, but was working all morning.

....appears to be shutdown now. With a small amount of digging, you should be able to find other streams.

Learned something new from the gttv episode, at some point you can choose a NPC 'follower.'

Interesting stuff on the super mutants too.

So once we go through this whole game and level up everything and go through it a second time will it save all the leveling up we have done or will we have to start over?

This game has sadly fallen off my list. Another one with too much coming out at the same time. That and the more videos I see of it, the more bored I become. I'm sure it's great, but it looks like Oblivion too much, and I was bored with that game before walking out of the sewer. These types of games are just not for me.

That's a shame. I used to be the same way, but now I find that these games give me the most enjoyment in gamming, and also they are the most fullfilling and compelling to me. They can be huge stinkers too though, like two worlds which was just terrible.

With fallout3, oblivion, most likely fable2, and mass effect - the 360 has surpassed the dreamcast for me as being the best console i've owned.

I find that the longer I play, the more I liked it...as was the case with oblivion and mass effect. I'm fairly confident that this will be the best playthough I have yet to experience.

I'm going to playthrough a couple of times too w/ one good and one bad character and make them have completely different strengths one wil be a sniper, and I'm thinking of making one a social master.

I found some really interesting posts by some people on the gamespot forums of all places about playing games like this according to a knights code - seemed really nerdy, but was actually pretty cool to read, if I can find them I'll copy and paste here if I remember.

                        Cant wait for Fallout 3!

Gametrailers.com has some more new stuff. I think it's more anyway, might be the same stuff from the show but there's no one talking over it and it was just put up today. The end of the Washington gameplay is pretty cool. The trench gameplay looks like it should be called Gears of Oblivion.

Is there a flamethrower in this?

That's how I feel about Fable 2. I can't play both right now. I loved Oblivion and this game looks fantastic. I'm doing the wait and see on Fable. The way Molleneaux over promised, under delivered on the first one, I'll wait and see. If it's great I'll get it in a few months.

Just to give people an idea of how some people play games like this, I think it's interesting:

                              "Knights Code of Chivalry
A knight was expected to have not only the strength and skills to face combat in the violent Middle Ages but was also expected to temper this aggressive side of a knight with a chivalrous side to his nature. There was not an authentic Knights Code of Chivalry as such - it was a moral system which went beyond rules of combat and introduced the concept of Chivalrous conduct - qualities idealized by knighthood, such as bravery, courtesy, honor, and gallantry toward women."

The Knights Code of Chivalry and the vows of Knighthood
-To protect the weak and defensless
-to give succour to widows and orphans
-to refrain from the wanton giving of offense
-To live by honour and for glory
                              -To despise pecuniary reward
-To fight for the wellfare of all
-To guard the honour of fellow knights
-To eschew unfairness, meaness and deceit
                              -To keep faith
-At all times to speak the truth
-To persevere to the end in any enterprise begun
-To respect the honour of women
-Never to refuse a challenge from an equal
-Never to turn the back upon a foe

I approach rpgs that way. I have one character, usually a female "paladin" that does the honorable thing a la that code, and then I have a rotten to the core male character. I suppose Freud may have interesting things to say about that.
