Pardon my ignorance, but if I were to rent Crackdown, how exactly could I ensure that it would contain access to the Beta? I really don't trust asking an employee at Blockbuster because they are probably as clueless as I am.

the retail box would have a sticker on it which may be impossible to tell at BB so you would need to get it home and see that it's available in game.

I really don't think there are many copies out there without it actually. especially rentals considering they were most likely delivered with the first batch of copies which ALL had the beta.

BTW... CRACKDOWN IS WORTH THE PURCHASE OR RENTAL!

For me, I just went in there and randomly picked out a copy. You know how BB is. They have the actual box and then 3-4 rental boxes behind it, so you don't know which copy you are getting.

Give it a shot, you'll most likely get the right copy.

would love for my mom to let me stay home from school so i can play it......I am a senoir and the west test thing is going on so there really is not a point to come since only sophmores take it.....i hope and pray that she lets me

Got it. And the funny thing is I actually saved money. Since I sold it on ebay for $48, I bought it today for $45, new.

Here's what I do at Blockbuster.

I rent the game and allow them to charge me the 1.50 fee after it is overdue. That brings the total price to about 10.00. Now, if I don't like the game, I bring it back on time and eat the 8 bucks.

If I do enjoy the game, I keep it until the 30 day point and then bring it back right before the 30th day. By then, they charge me the 1.50. So that's 10 bucks for about a month.

If I want to keep the game, I let them debit my credit card for the price of the game which I have never been debited full price. In fact, in the two games I did it with, I was charded 39.99 for one game and 29.99 for the other.

You end up paying less than you would if you bought the game.

Now, that may be because there's a 74 year old guy there working, and he may be a bit off kilter.

I doubt I will, but yeah, why not? It's Halo 3! And my sick days never get used up, and they don't roll over yearly.

Exactly. Like when my wife goes to the mall and spends $200 on clothes, she comes home to tell me that it was 20% off, so in reality, we SAVED money. Rrrrrrright.
