Can Halo 3 top 2.38 million units sold in the first 24 hours?

I do know it's very likely it will top the 125 million in revenue that Halo 2 brought in the first 24 hours, because of the Legendary Edition and increased price for games this generation.

If Halo 3 doesn't sell 5 million copies in 24 hours I would be shocked. Halo is almost a household brand.

Holy crap at the talk about the AI and Brutes using the equipment. One of Frankie's experiences sounded amazing. Great podcast.

            Halo 3: Burn, Baby! Burn!
Roast some marshmallows or some Covenant with the flamethrower. First screen and details on the weenie-roaster.

Along with first details on the flamethrower, Bungie also revealed a new incendiary grenade, the firebomb. With these two weapons -- featured in both the campaign and multiplayer -- gamers can set the Halo universe on fire.
Just as gamers found interesting uses for the new grenades and gadgets introduced in the beta, the firebomb is good for more than just blowing up the opposition. The firebomb will be a useful tool in multiplayer games like CTF to cut off a flag-runner. "You can [create walls of flames]," O'Connor said. "You can block an exit by throwing down a couple of fire bombs. It will create a small wall of flames that it's not smart for someone to walk through."

THe grenade sounds really cool, creating walls of flame to stop someone from getting in or out.

                GREAT...another spawn camping technique.

I don't really think spawn camping is that big of a deal in Halo. The game does a pretty good job of spawning you pretty far away from your opponents. Atleast I've never had a problem with it.

I...just realized I probably won't get this at launch since I'll be in school.

                        Damnit.

Yeah, I agree I've never been killed right after a spawn.

I don't know about the beta but in Halo 2 it was very easy to spawn camp and I had to play against a lot of people who did it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It's pretty easy, go where people spawn and throw those grenades so that they can't get out, and once the flames go down and they're still standing there just shoot them.

                                Yup...

I'm glad a lot of you saw spawn killing isn't an issue, but some resourceful little prats will of course find a way!
