This is the first Halo I've actually played seriously and I love it. This game is awesome online once you get the hang of it.

The second to last campaign level is freaking hard. If been playing on heroic and getting by pretty well. Die on some parts a good number of times before i get on, but its not to hard. The eighth mission is crazy. You dont get a weapon thats any use beyond 5 feet and basically no grenades in the level. its rough. People who have played it will know what im talking about, i dont want to say anything for those who haven't. Campaign has just been awesome, except this level is garbage.

Yeah, that mission was a bitch. Particularly a couple parts and after dying several times, I said the hell with it, and just jumped my way through.

Thats what i started trying to do, just run through and slice anyone who gets in my way with the sword and keep going, but i still keep dying. Oh well, ill try again tommorrow.

Kinda dissapointing, considering the last two levels before this one were flat out amazing. This level sucks.

That mission almost killed the campaign for me it was so bad. I felt like I was in a giant intestine and kept having to find the hole to get out. After seeing the cool graphics and giant boards previously we get that...ugh!

Finished the game Thursday on heroic and being that I loved the first 2 games, I was sorely let down by the 3rd installment of Halo. After ALL of the HYPE, the game simply didn't do enough IMO and it just didn't seem grand or epic like the first game. The end seemed like a re-hash of the original's...I'm just thankful that I rented it. I TRIED playing MP and it takes forever to get into a match...Gamefly will get their game back tomorrow.

You serious? I've only had one instance on which I had to wait to play for maybe about 5 mins tops. Other than that I can hop on and get in a game anytime I want.

Make sure you NAT port is open or it will be slow.

Actually, NAT has nothing to do with game performance. It only has to do with whether you're able to connect to other players or not. You'll get the same speed within a game whether your NAT is open, moderate, or strict. Of course, if you have moderate or strict, you're limiting yourself in the number of games you'll actually be able to connect to.

That's the way some games seem to play out. I've had the same frustrations every now and then. Always aim for the head and be sure to use the melee button when in close.

Does anyone know if there's an "autosave" setting in the menus? I just completed four levels on Saturday night, then had my Xbox 360 shut off (with a pathetic "overheating" error) without my progress saved...so now, I'm back to where I started that night, four levels back.

It's pretty sad if the ONLY way you can save your campaign is on the "Save and Exit" option. Then again, I don't know for sure.

I think he meant the connecting to a game will be slow.

No auto-save, you just have to Save & Quit unfortunately. I've never had my 360 shut-off by itself because of over-heating (knock on wood) so if yours has a history of doing that I would suggest to just Save & Quit every now and then after getting a checkpoint, then just loading your game again. I actually would do this with Halo 1 and 2 when playing through the game on Legendary. Some of those checkpoints were so tough, once I would pass a particularly brutal section I would Save & Quit and reload just in case I had a power outage or something. I was paranoid and didn't want to have to try a section again (after I had already tried it 20 times)!
