I'm glad I don't think Crackdown was either too short or too shallow. Or you could have just rented it and tried out the beta that way.

As for the demo, no way there will be one. They weren't going to take guys away from the team in the middle of making the most important Xbox 360 game ever to work on a demo. Like people have said, you know what you're getting with Halo. If you didn't like 1 or 2, you won't like this one.

I liked 'Crackdown' in the co-op mode, it just didn't have that draw of a GTA to keep you interested. Just superficial gangs (though the uber-bad*** idea was fun to play...).

And yeah, no chance of a demo. EVAR!

        Re: Halo 3 Impressions

        Wow! This is amazing!

I have never bought or really played Halo until today. The only time I have ever played Halo was when some of my friends needed an extra player to play system link. I thought it was the absolute most boring game in the world. The reason being was because I absolutely sucked at it and they were sick at the game.

Another reason I had never bought or really played Halo was because I never bought XBOX. I was a Playstation and PS2 guy and then made a decision to buy 360 mainly because of Madden 07 and NHL 07. Then the biggest reason is because I am a sports gamer. The only games I play that aren't sports are Guitar Hero and Gran Theft Auto(which I can't wait to come out).

So I bought the game today and put it in and played on easy through the first level or whatever the hell you call it. It was so fun. I couldn't believe how much fun I was having. The reason I am having so much fun is because I am playing by myself right now. I can go at my own pace. Now I will start playing with friends but I am still kind of getting used to the game. I can't wait to play later on tonight. What I am going to do is beat the game on easy, then on the next level and so on. It should be pretty fun.

Funny thing is I bought the game after school at Gamestop and brought it home. I unpackaged it and then started 2nd guessing myself about buying the game. Well thankfully I love the game because I wouldn't have been able to return a game I had already unpackaged except to exchange it for another copy.

Anyway this is super fun. I can't believe how much fun I'm having. The game is tempting me to buy Halo 1 and 2 so I can get the story of the game straight. Now I know you can play Halo 2 on 360 but what about Halo 1?

You can play Halo 1 on the 360, but there's a good bit of slowdown in some of the more larger battles.

What an exciting campaign! This was the best of the 3 by far. I loved every single minute of it. Now it's time to up the difficulty and do it again. To think, I haven't even touched multi-player yet! What a fantastic, and thrilling joy ride this was!

Awesome is the only way I can describe this game.

I started the campain on Heroic but backed down to Normal. It's quite a difference. On Heroic I had to be very methodical, but on normal its more run and gun. The different feel should make it worth going back through it on the higher difficulty.

Heroic plays real nice. There's a few occiasions where I thought I was screwed....but you always find a way.

Great fun, almost done with the campaign!

I'm in the same boat, I started on Heroic, but realized I wouldn't be done with the game by saturday when my friends and I are going to multiplayer via system link and I know that they'd probably spoil the end for me. It did feel like two different games when toned down to normal, probably a little easier than I would have liked but still fun. What surprised me was how few the enemies were...there must have been double the enemies on heroic. I too am looking forward to playing through again on higher difficulty level.

I know you love the game, I just find the campaign dull. That's all. I wasn't trying to incite anything.

I know exactly what you are saying, it has happened to me multiple times. Sometimes I am able to rewind just fine (hint: a shortcut to rewind is to press left on the d-pad), but sometimes, the game does not even give you this option.

Not sure why yet, but I think it has to do with what type of film you are playing. I have noticed that whenever I can't rewind, I also can't record. I think it has only happened to me when I am watching a film of the campaign mode, whether co-op, or solo. Maybe for some unknown reason they don't let you rewind or record campaign films. I have had no problems with multiplayer games though. Weird. And annoying, because I really like this theater option and would love to record some clips from the campaign.

I haven't gotten to multiplayer yet, only campaign, so that may be my problem. Sucks though if you can't rewind it. I always seem to skip over a good snap shot. I don't want to have to restart and go through 30 minutes of film again to catch it.
