I haven't beat it yet, but i am playing on heroic and i think that the brutes are easier than the elites but everyone is beefed up, (grunts, jackals)

I don't think anyone got what you were saying. I also have this problem. I can only hit the play/pause button, the snap shot button, and the one on the far right, can't remember what it does. I can't hit the advance or rewind button, they're shaded out.

they didnt have one for gears. i doubt they come out with one for halo. nothing too new about the gameplay. if youve played halo before then you should expect a lot of the same things.

The brutes are tougher if you charge in, but much easier if you keep your distance and hit and run. I also thought they were a lot easier because if they got away, they didn't recharge.

Alright, I'll probably stay away from it then - thanks. Seems silly not to put up a demo - but oh well.

Yeah, they release demos as a promotion to get people interested in the game. Maybe get someone to play it that wouldn't otherwise give it a look. Don't think there is any such problem with Halo. I don't think there was even a demo for 2. I remember playing the demo for the first one though.

The situations where you are one on one or one on two is not bad with Brutes, but if you get one of those invincible Brutes thrown in the party then it is hard, at least for me. If you can go up and melee you can make short work of them.

I think the Jackals with shields aren't that impressive. The Snipers were pretty damn good early on. I could remember in one of the first levels, before they even knew I was there, I was walking out to sneak up on some grunts when across this huge chasm 2 snipers killed me within a second, both shots to the head. The Flood is by far the most improved in my opinion, although maybe I just do not remember Halo 1 and 2 well enough.

They already had the demo come out and then took it down to build up excitement for the game in the spring/summer.

Why put up a demo when you know people will buy it on name alone and risk someone not wanting it?

Because not everyone will buy it on name alone - like me. Why wouldn't you toss together a demo of a level to try to get people like me to buy their game? I can tell you that not having a demo makes me not want it - because I can't try to it to see if it's at all improved from the first 2 (which I did not like very much, in fact I bought both and finished neither).

Just take my advice and don't buy it.

It's improved from the first two, yes, but the core is still the same. You probably wouldn't like it very much.

And, like I said, they already had a multiplayer demo out. There was never any plans to release a SP demo.

Not too sound like a **** but it's Halo, you pretty much know what you're getting.. average SP and great MP. Just by looking at the record # of sales people obviously bought the game based on name alone. And prob as far as MS is concerned, putting out a demo is a waste of time.

A multiplayer beta that required the purchase of a too short and shallow game to participate in.

Agreed, single player has already bored me out of my gourd and I'm ONLY on the second level.

Well it's the biggest entertainment opening in US history, with over $170 million, beating out Spiderman 3. Pretty impressive.

Spider-man didn't cost sixty bones a pop, though with ticket prices these days...
