Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I don't think anyone got what you were saying. I also have this problem. I can only hit the play/pause button, the snap shot button, and the one on the far right, can't remember what it does. I can't hit the advance or rewind button, they're shaded out.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
they didnt have one for gears. i doubt they come out with one for halo. nothing too new about the gameplay. if youve played halo before then you should expect a lot of the same things.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
The brutes are tougher if you charge in, but much easier if you keep your distance and hit and run. I also thought they were a lot easier because if they got away, they didn't recharge.Comment

Alright, I'll probably stay away from it then - thanks. Seems silly not to put up a demo - but oh well.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Yeah, they release demos as a promotion to get people interested in the game. Maybe get someone to play it that wouldn't otherwise give it a look. Don't think there is any such problem with Halo. I don't think there was even a demo for 2. I remember playing the demo for the first one though.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I think the Jackals with shields aren't that impressive. The Snipers were pretty damn good early on. I could remember in one of the first levels, before they even knew I was there, I was walking out to sneak up on some grunts when across this huge chasm 2 snipers killed me within a second, both shots to the head. The Flood is by far the most improved in my opinion, although maybe I just do not remember Halo 1 and 2 well enough.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Why put up a demo when you know people will buy it on name alone and risk someone not wanting it?Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Because not everyone will buy it on name alone - like me. Why wouldn't you toss together a demo of a level to try to get people like me to buy their game? I can tell you that not having a demo makes me not want it - because I can't try to it to see if it's at all improved from the first 2 (which I did not like very much, in fact I bought both and finished neither).Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
It's improved from the first two, yes, but the core is still the same. You probably wouldn't like it very much.
And, like I said, they already had a multiplayer demo out. There was never any plans to release a SP demo.Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Not too sound like a **** but it's Halo, you pretty much know what you're getting.. average SP and great MP. Just by looking at the record # of sales people obviously bought the game based on name alone. And prob as far as MS is concerned, putting out a demo is a waste of time.
