Re: Halo 3 Impressions
I haven't played it since Halo 2, but basically it's a simplified, yet highly-skilled version of team slayer. Everybody starts with battle rifles and nobody has shields, so basically if you get shot in the head once you die. If you're not handy with the BR, I suggest you stay away. SWAT is like the Halo nerds favorite game to play and there's a lot of people that are good at it.Lux y VeritasComment

Also, there's no radar, so you can't tell if anyone is coming or not. Gotta keep your head on a swivel, I suppose.. and yes, aim for the head.XBox 360 GT: XFactor416Comment

I don't know why but for some reason i've never used the radar before. Maybe that's why i'm always getting killed from behind....Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Frankie leaves Bungie to work with Microsoft on the Halo franchise.
I am leaving you. I am off to work more closely with Microsoft on the Halo franchise, so I shan’t be too far away, but I wanted to take this last chance, appropriately enough in a Weekly Update, to tell you a very fond thanks. Thanks for being the most energized, enthusiastic, loyal, faithful, creative, imaginative and incredible community any video game could ever have. And on that note, let me tell you a bit about the coming years. It was very hard for me to make the decision to move on, but one thing that made it just a bit easier, was seeing the amazing work that’s coming down the pipe. I was busy working on a story for one of our next games, an experience that is destined to surprise, amaze and entertain like nothing we’ve ever made before. That game has an amazing team invested in it, and one that will be tasked with building the Next Big Thing. You should see what they’ve already achieved, you truly should.
And there are other things rumbling at Bungie, just as secret, just as epic and just as incredible. And the thing that turns all that rumbling into incredible gameplay experiences is, has always been and will always continue to be, the people. The brilliant, talented, industrious gang of geniuses who brought you everything from a monochrome Pong clone to the staggering vistas and vision of Halo 3.Last edited by Flawless; 05-16-2008, 07:32 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo 3 Impressions
Yeah pretty much the only playlists I play anymore are MLG or SWAT. Starting with BR's is just a lot better than the assault rifle starts. I'll also occasionally play whatever Double EXP playlist Bungie puts up for the weekend.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Yes, but I don't really like some of the maps that show up in Team Slayer though, like Epitaph and Snowbound. Big Team would be fine if it wasn't filled with lag in over half the games.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
