Re: Mass Effect Discussion

SpoilerAwesome game so far, on the last level now. After the council conference I thought the game was just going to end like this. ANd continue on to the second game. Would have been the biggest teabag ever.Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Like Cyros said, crouching helps and picking the right upgrades (things that increase stability/reduce heating). The thing I liked about the sniper was using it to take down those big Geth machines. Oftentimes you can get in a nice position where you can hit them but they can't hit you. Of course, someone with an assault rifle could just go in and strafe around it but I prefer the more subtle approach. Same for taking out the Commandos and Krogan Warlords.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
SpoilerI was trying to mack both Ashley and Liara and was doing so... wanted to get the confrontation that I read about. Unfortunately it never ended up happening and I got Liara. I always picked the upper right option with Ashley except once or twice maybe. After Virime she just started saying I don't have time to talk now, come back later. How did I mess up? Do your actions in the game dictate what becomes of this subplot?Comment

The second time I went through it I only got Liara. I have no idea what I did different though.SpoilerI was trying to mack both Ashley and Liara and was doing so... wanted to get the confrontation that I read about. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I started my 3rd playthrough last night on insane but going to continue with one of my two characters as opposed to a new one.
One thing that kind of ticked me off about the second time through is I picked Wrex and Liara for just about every mission and didn't get the ally achievements for either of them. Not sure why. I'm thinking that it will be easier to get those achievements starting the game with a 50+ level character. From what I understand, you have to have those characters present for just about everything that gains you experience. Thinking about it, this last time through I ended up using Tali and Kaidan for doing mineral surveys and recovering probes and such. Didn't use Wrex and Liara. Probably where I messed up I guess.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
I haven't gotten any of the ally achievements either. I got the "complete a majority of the game" one but even though I used the same team for everything nothing was unlocked.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters.
