Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Question concerned with after beating the game:
Spoiler
Sheperd says that there is a war coming with the Reapers. Sovereign wasn't able to open up the mass relay somehow for the Reapers was it? I'm guessing that there are more messenger types like Sovereign somewhere in the galaxy that were left by the Reapers. This will probably be something we will find out in the next game.Washington State University Cougars

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Or they will probably have to find where the reapers are and kill them before they wake up. The reapers could also have something set up where they automatically wake up after a certain amount of time or when the messenger is killed.Question concerned with after beating the game:

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Finally got a chance to pop the game in tonight after the party....played for 40 minutes or so but so far really enjoying it. I really like how in depth the storyline interaction is.
One thing, is anyone experiencing frame rate issues? At times there seems to be a drop in the frame rate and isn't a big problem but can get annoying.Comment

That really happens. Not a gamebreaker, you just have to manage your way through it when it does happen. Finally got a chance to pop the game in tonight after the party....played for 40 minutes or so but so far really enjoying it. I really like how in depth the storyline interaction is.

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Just finished my first playthrough at about 18 hours. There were a lot of unfinished sidequests, but I got too into the main quest and finished it. This playthrough was as a renegade male Vanguard, so this next one will be with a paragon female. Still haven't decided which class though. I'm going one extreme or the other, so they will either be all tech/biotic or a soldier. Still haven't decided. I might try soldier, but i'm having trouble picturing myself beating some quests without myself having the lift ability. When that sucker gets leveled all the way up, you can take out Krogan warlords with ease. One lift, and you can riddle him with bullets in the air while he is defenseless.
Anyways, this game is possibly the best game I have ever played. Everything about it is great, from the voice acting, to the action (was a complaint for some, but I LOVE the power wheel/3rd person perspective). It got a little hectic managing powers at times with tons of enemies, but it just made it all the more frantic, which was fun. The story is AMAZING. The main story is great, but the sidequests were fun as well, and had great variety. From going in guns blazing to save someone, or intimidating someone into forfeiting information or confessing something (yes, being a renegade is incredibly fun), it was great.
Can't wait to start my second playthrough, and I rarely if ever say that about a game. Even Bioshock, one of my favorites of the year, was put on the shelf after I beat it. However, with ME, I want to start again right now to see how the paragon journey goes.
Kudos Bioware!Comment

Re: Mass Effect Discussion
Probably the BEST and I mean the BEST game I've ever played, this games with your emotions from being frustrated with the counsel and hanging up, to growing close the other crew members, having to make hard choices thought the game and the ending that had me so upset when I thought John Shepperd was dead. Amazing just Amazing
I'm planning on playing again as a Vanguard Riddick Look Alike Renegade :P and I recommend Soldier class to everyone, to run in guns blazing and using your teammates abilitys to make up for your lack of biotechs is so much fun. Thanks Bioware for the best 26 hours in 360 historyComment
