Also when you're doing moves like the Hadoken or pretty much any special move, make sure u tap punch and not hold it because the game registers the button press and the button release as two inputs to get the move off.

I'm gonna try to squeeze this in between GTA and Basketball tonight.

Man I need to hurry up and get a HDTV.

This should not be . I'm on about my twentieth match on easy level. It isn't a challenge beating something that cheats to win. There is zero fun in that, just frustration.

I could see having to use programming like this twenty years ago, but there is no excuse for it in this day and age. I really feel ripped off as a consumer.

After this monstrosity and having played the pitiful RE5 demo, Capcom won't be seeing any more of my money.

What a slap in the face to consumers.

Seth: 1st Round, just beat him with standard combos. Don't give him any 1-hitters, or he might focus attack you.

2nd form: Stay still. Don't get jittery just because he's jittery. Use your EX attacks and punish him when he makes mistakes. Don't try to hit him while he's teleporting. If you think he's going to throw you, throw him first. He's challenging, but not impossible by any stretch. He seems to be able to do everything, but EX combos bring him right down to earth, and his life bar isn't extraordinary. Don't forget to use your Ultras.

By standing pat and moving backwards, I've begun to make headway in the second and third rounds when he goes beserk. I've even gotten his health around the victory medals a few times. When he flips and jumps really close or when he does that focus charge, I try and a grab him. It works 3/5 times. However, when he starts doing the teleport/suplex combo in the middle of my attack is when he gets me. The sonic boom spamming is annoying, though.

If you have a projectile, the sonic boom is a good thing. EX your projectile through his for a hit. You can projectile battle him to a LOT of free hits this way. When he's teleporting, get out of there. It's a cheesy move. I've only fought him a couple times in clearing the game with Ken and Ryu, so I haven't found a perfect solution for the teleporting yet. He doesn't do it that much though, so if that's the only thing going wrong, you should see major progress.

I'm playing with Balrog (my second favorite character), so projectiles aren't in my bag. Maybe that's why I'm struggling so much.

I actually did a test after I got the Madcatz, and I have 1 controller that is pretty decent for Street Fighter. The main problem is the normal move combos. Ken is a great example. His bread and butter combo is the strong>fierce>special combo. Since you only have four face buttons, you probably don't have all three punch buttons on there. Even if you do, you're probably missing out on his overhead kick, or step in f.kick move.

The six button layout is just as important as that beautiful raised D pad. Against a mediocre player, you can get away with a four button layout, but at the higher levels you're at a real disadvantage.

And this is coming from a guy who's played hours of PS2 SF style games.
If I use L1 and R1 as well, then won't I still have the six button layout?

I'm offically frustrated. I've spent over two hours trying to beat that bastard on Easiest or Very Easy.

                            Screw this game.

Re:dubplate Hit two buttons on your specials to make them supercharged. On projectiles, your EX will eat his sonic boom and then continue on to hit him.

Re:dickdale The top buttons are hard to use in advanced combos using chain attacks. Possible, but very difficult. IMO, I'd rather cough up 40 bucks and have no worries than to deal with that.
