I don't mind the malaria. It pops up here or there and you just pop a pill, no big deal. It adds the element of surprise, which isn't really a bad thing -- plus there are tons of places to save so I don't think you should ever really get screwed over too badly when you die or whatever.

I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join. -
Re: Far Cry 2
You have to get and take the medicine. Anytime the malaria starts to pop up, a little medicine bottle icon will then pop up in the bottom left corner, you press the left-bumper and bam...goes away until the next "outbreak."
And you get the pills after you talk to the guy at Mike's Bar, I believe it is, he'll get you in touch with the priest in Pala, and that's where you can get the pills and refill them.Comment

Ah, ha!!!!
Getting to the church is the key. Everything prior to that is a "tutorial" (and it even tells you that once you get to the church).
Now that the tutorial part is over I am really into this game. The atmosphere, night sounds, terrain, top notch stuff. There are a few instances of dumb AI, but you also see where bad guys fan out after being attacked.
I can tell this is going to be hours and hours of distraction helping me get through the lack of baseball right now.Comment

Sniper rifle, flare gun, machine gun = my go-to 'nothing can stop me' setup.
Flares are so good, they distract, and set grass on fire while you pick them off a km away. they come to your location when they figure out where the shots are comming from (sometimes), and you whip out the machine gun and moe them down.
Explosives are fun too - although I think some special and 'handgun' slots should be interchangeable.
Currently I've got 53 diamond cases - how bout some of you guys? and what's your favorite weapon setup?Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

This is one of the best looking games I've ever seen.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Far Cry 2
Well, I got this one because I loved Far Cry on the PC. Actually played through that game three times.
I don't have any other games. I bought MLB2k8 a couple weeks ago at a swap meet for $10.00, downloaded a roster, checked out sliders, played it and then traded it in towards this game last week.
I need to do something during the winter months. Heck the temperature dropped to 91 degrees today, so I had to stay in.Comment

Re: Far Cry 2
I was exploring the other day and came across a gold AK-47 stashed away behind some wooden boards on the side of a cliff. Anybody know if the gold AK-47 is "special" in any way? I was using it for a while but ended up losing it.Comment
