Just curious....Would you guys say that Wikipedia is a credible source for the music in this game. Just looked this game up there and they have a good list of songs there. It was missing some of the songs that were in this thead several pages back but still a decent list.

Wiki is usually good, yes - because people will edit out the fake crap and because you'll notice that they have to source each song, and it usually comes from a reliable source like a gaming site.

Anyway - it was pointed out a few times that the list several pages back was completely fake. It wasn't even believable, if you ask me.

Thanks for the reply...just went back and looked at it and noticed all the sources provided. Had a decent list of 45 plus a source that said Korn, Tool, and Muse would have something as well. I'm liking this list of songs more than the last game. I've always enjoyed playing Guitar Hero 3 more than Rock Band but ended up playing Rock Band more because I liked the music better especially with the downloads. Maybe this year will be different.

Yeah they're all supposed to be there, but I don't think the specific songs have been confirmed yet. Check the forums at guitarhero.com for the latest updates.

One of your weaker members has failed out of a challenging song, but you only have HALF of a star power meter. A white section is coming up, and you have to be CLUTCH to nail it, and pull them back in before the boo-birds send you to that failed screen. The harder the white note section is, the more clutch you have to be.

When you come through, that is one of the most amazing moments in the game. It rewards the bass player, and keeps it from being an Elite-fest, where good players avoid bad players in a group setting.

            Neversoft is terrible.

EDIT: I just discussed this a bit with my brother. This is almost a deal breaker regarding the group aspect. Thinking about all of the "savior" moments in the past....this is a colossally bad move.
Wow, I'm stunned. One of the cool things (the coolest?) about Rock Band is that you have the safety net of your band members if you blow it and fail a song. This has gotta be one of the dumbest decisions I've ever seen for game design.

Agreed. They must have realized that they were ripping off RB and decided on that to make themselves different. But what they don't realize is that the way it worked in RB rocked... whereas the GH:WT implementation sucks.

So, my Les Paul stopped functioning 100%. Its been at least 3-5 months since I used it, but the blue and orange buttons don't work nor does star power. This sucks.

Try pushing the neck of the guitar down, could be a problem with the connectors.

Trapped Under Ice is enough reason for me to try this game out.

Just got the word that Line 6 is the company doing the guitar emulation for the music creator. I know that doesn't mean a lot to most of you, but just trust me on this one.

Line 6 = superb sound quality

They are unparalleled when it comes to digital guitar sound. The music creator should definitely sound brilliant, regardless of what style your song is.

I have several Line 6 amps. Glad to hear they're running the music creator.

That's actually one of the first things I did was disconnect and then reconnect the neck of the guitar.

That looks pretty cool. I don't know if it's enough to get me to buy the game, but I've got to say that it looks a lot more polished than I thought it would be.

I really was expecting a pretty half-assed program when I first about it - but they really look like they went all out. I'd got a Podxt myself, and it's cool to see how they worked it into the game.

I get the feeling we're just going to see a ton of people charting out Metallica songs that they've failed to get into the games already (especially Master of Puppets).
