I read that from an article about the game. If I remember correctly, the developer himself said that. It's been over a week since I read that, and I've read a ton of crap since then, but I'm pretty sure it was a very official article I read it from, if not the developer himself.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
It's legit, I think Bornindamecca is right, it was the developer himself that said it in an interview. You cannot save your band members if they fail.Comment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
Meaning you actually have to try?
Rock Band got it right by putting in No Fail Mode for parties and such, but if I'm in Tour Mode with friends, I want to be able to fail. In fact, there should be no other option. Otherwise, why play?
Besides, with RB you can actually save your band members.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Guitar Hero 4
Not only does it mean people won't feel the need to get better - for instance, my friends were all a lot better than me at the beginning because they had played GH1-3 and I hadn't, but being the person that failed every song was enough motivation to improve.
Also, the sheer excitement and pressure that comes with having to nail one of the Overdrive/Star Power sections in order to save your bandmate right before the crowd boos you off is one of the best feelings in the game.
You lose a lot of the challenge and atmosphere when you can't fail.Comment

More songs confirmed:
The Living End - Prisoner of Society
Bullet For My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire
Lacuna Coil - Our Truth
Los Lobos - La Bamba
2 more reasons for me to get GH, The Living End and BFMV!!

Re: Guitar Hero 4
BFMV annoys me for some reason, I feel like I should like it, just can not stand them.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Guitar Hero 4
3 more songs:
"Just shy of the 40th anniversary of the seminal performance in October 1968 when "Kick Out the Jams" was originally recorded, founder and lead guitarist Wayne Kramer went back into the recording studio with original producer Bruce Botnick to re-record the track exclusively for Guitar Hero World Tour. Featuring the vocals recorded by Rob Tyner in 1968, Wayne Kramer was joined by friends Jerry Cantrell of Alice and Chains and Gilby Clark formerly of Guns 'N' Roses - at The Woodshed Recorder, studio of composer and ex-Oingo Boingo keyboardist Richard Gibbs - to update and modernize the sound without taking away from the original visceral garage sound that made MC5 famous and helped start the Punk Rock revolution.
Last year when they re-recorded "Anarchy in the U.K." as a Guitar Hero exclusive, fellow Punk Rock band The Sex Pistols - with original members John Lydon on vocals, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and producer Chris Thomas - also re-recorded "Pretty Vacant" utilizing the original analog sound board (circa 1969) that was built for George Martin at Air Studios, London, England in order to maintain the classic sound. Further extending the immense depth of the Guitar Hero World Tour set list is world renowned recording artist Motorhead who returned to the studio to re-record their smash hit "Overkill," which had originally appeared on their 1979 album, Overkill."

The one thing I don't understand is that you HAVE to buy packs and can't buy individual songs. Not to mention, they actually cost more than Rock Band.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
