They better keep the current instruments compatible. I don't want to buy new ones just yet.

Yeah they better, I'm still trying to use my GH3 Les Paul.

I'm hooked on the drums on Rock Band and have barely even touched the guitar. I really like the look of the new GH4 drumset, though, with the raised cymbal pads so if RB2 does something like this with the drums it'll be a day one purchase for me. Otherwise I'm probably going to go with GH4.

Good information in that link. I've been pretty pleased with RB for the PS3 except for the guitar, but the Nyko one fixed that. I hope in RB2 that you can customize your computer controlled band mates. It irritates me seeing a band with mixed sytles of clothing.

I'll be curious to see what the new drums look like.

Very smart to make the RB1 DLC and peripherals compatible with RB2. It also sounds like an online Band World Tour is in. This has the potential to be a great game.

Harmonix appears to be a step ahead in just about every way. Their DLC plan is enough for me to stick with Rock Band easily.

Here's to hoping the bands that are in the interviewers "Top Ten" list, that are in RB2 are:

Modest Mouse, Led Zepplin, Tool and the Beatles.

This interview got me excited for RB2, though I'm still tempted to grab GHWT because of the drums.

                    Sounds like no custom content.

However....if this means I can reassigne the drum pads...OR I can actually move the drums so they aren't "flat"...then I'm happy as a pig in slop..

ong those lines, we've been able to take all of the feedback we've received to make quieter, more realistic, and more reliable instruments. We've also added some features for players to customize the experience that they want to have, but we'll be talking more about this soon. And yes, all of your Rock Band instruments will still work with Rock Band 2.

                    interesting...

A post on Kotaku seems to indicate that AC/DC is a strong possibility for Rock Band 2, and the interview on the IGN.com frontpage does specifically refer to "Aussie rockers"...

The same IGN.com interview also indicates that the tracks from the Rock Band store will play in new ways on Rock Band 2 (what this entails exactly remains to be seen).

Already I am looking forward to this.

Looks like it's going to be 360 only for awhile. Comes out in September for the 360 and then later on for the other platforms.

                            That's an odd decision...

On that list he mentioned, I'm also hoping for Journey. Watching people get beat up by Steve Perry's vocals would be hilarious.
