Went ahead and bought the bundle for 360. Fiance and I played for about 3 hours and if we didn't have to get up early for work, we would still be playing.

Should've set it to DL a large ammount of songs and then use the auto turn off thing for when they're done then you'd have a bunch more to play after work.

According to a poster on the RB forums...

Yesterday afternoon CMT reported that country music will become available for RB2. They were announcing the release of RB2 but stated that country fans should not feel left out as country music will be available starting in December.
I'm thrilled, especially if it's older country (Cash, Nelson) or even 90's country (Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, Travis Triitt).

Whether or not you like country, this is good for Rock Band, no doubt about it. Anytime you can add another genre to an already large range of music is good. Hopefully we can get other types (blues, raggae, etc) into the game too.

Frankly, I think country would be a really fun genre to play on guitar.

                  Congrats Dookie!

You should look forward to more monster jam sessions like you just had. Once you start it's really hard to turn back.

So I guess we can expect a RB fiddle to be released with RB3.

That's cool for country fans though.. I know my girlfriend will be excited. Hopefully we can get some good blues in the future as well.

So, how do I go about getting more songs? There is DLC, but I can also get RB1 and transfer all the songs over to RB2? Do I have to unlock all the songs from RB1 or what?

                      I know it's like a $5 dollar fee.

I also think Country would be fun to play. I wish there was more old rock too. Like 50's. (Maybe there is and I just don't know?)

How does the DLC work? How much are songs etc..?

Am glad to see that country music gets a little likeablity in these types of games. Afterall the only two country games that have came out were a country version of karaoke revolution and singstar whenever it gets released.

See, I'm not a big rock fan and looking at the list of songs, (DLC) there are a ton of them by name I have no idea what they are. Now if I listened to them, I might have heard, but looking at the tracklist, I don't really know many.

I agree to no tomorrow. These games need to hit all genres, they can still be very fun as long as the charts are still fun, which I've been able to prove with some of my own customs that they very well can be. Plus, this would finally get my family, including my dad, to want to play this game (he's a goof... he would probably turn around and start dancing and singing, muff up a couple of words, and make it his own, meaning he won't hit any notes).

You'll need to rent RB1 or borrow it from someone. From inside RB1 there is a menu option to export the songs, then the next time you start up RB2 they will be there.

As for DLC, there are at least 3 new songs a week, but usually there are at least 6 it seems. They vary in prices, but most of them are around $2 (never more than that). DLC albums come out too and you can either download the whole thing, or just pick and choose the songs out of it you want. Songs that you download will show up in the list of songs in the game just like all the others, except they have a different logo (RB1 songs have a 1 symbol, RB2 songs have a 2 symbol, and DLC have this arrow symbol).
